BELL MUSEUM OF NATURAL HISTORYNATURE AND THE UNIVERSE
This project was the redesign of the Bell Museum of Natural History on the University of Minnesota St. Paul campus. A strong emphasis was put on desiging the building based on the site. This design focuses on the connection of the building to the earth and to the sky.
This design is about pulling spaces out of the building and up toward the universe. The glass spaces each hold a unique experience representing a piece of the natural world.

Structural SystemsSPACIAL & FORMAL ANALYSIS
Using the basic structural geometry from the Sainsbury Centre for Visual Arts by Norman Foster, this structure was created using a set of rules and the repitition of a single module in order to make different sizes and types of spaces.

DESIGN WITH REVITAPARTMENT COMPLEX
This project incorporated many aspects of Revit to design an apartment complex with retail space on the first floor. A lot of thought was put into materiality of walls, floors, and insulation.

ARCHITECTURALDRAWINGHENNEPIN LIBRARY-SOUTHEAST
These drawings were an exercise that focused on architectural drafting. All dimensions of the building were measured and then used to create drawings that would tell the story of the building.

EXPLORING ABSTRACTION(K)NOT ARCHITECTURE
1. This project started with a clove hitching knot.
2. The movement of the knot from one end to the other was modeled into a 3"x4"x5" box using 3 feet of wire.
3. Mass and volume were then created using the wire as a frame.
4. The volume became a void within a larger space and then was cut in half diagonally, exposing the interior voids. The goal of the project was to show how the space could be inhabited.

ANALYTICAL MODELINGHUMBOLDT LOFTS BY JULIE SNOW
The goal of this project was to dissect and understand the Humboldt Lofts by Julie Snow along with developing physical modeling skills and precision. This model is a replica of the exterior of the building and two levels of the interior.
Scale: 1/8” = 1’0”Materials: Chipboard and Acrylic
This replica model of the Humboldt lofts includes the complete exterior skin of the building and 2 interior levels. The building of this model helped to undertand all of the parts and ideas that made up the building and how they fit together.
