If you are new at leading a life group or interested in leading a group of your own, then consider this course for two Sunday mornings. You will learn to develop your life group leadership skills in the following areas: how to lead healthy life group discussions; how to select the right study for your group; how to help group members grow spiritually; how to lead a vibrant prayer time; how to engender faithfulness and commitment in your group members; and how to deal with problems in a group. Register online at tpcc.org/registration.

Developing the Biblical Leader Within You Sundays, June 3 to July 8, 9 a.m., TPCA Media Center

This six-week course focuses on how to lead life groups and the importance of making disciples through life groups. It is designed to equip life group leaders with principles and skills for discipleship and provide spiritual, pastoral leadership in life groups. If you are leading, and have not attended this course, please try to fit this into your schedule, since attending this course is a requirement for all life group leaders. If you have already attended this leadership course, consider attending this course with an apprentice leader from your group or class whom you are developing to lead. Paul (His Life, His Letters, and His Journeys—The Prison Letters) Sundays, Ongoing, 9 a.m., in The Point

This study, taught by Ken Armstrong and Dan Christian, will focus on the Epistles written by Paul to churches and individuals of the early church. We will discuss the people, cities, and culture of the first century and the incredible influence of Paul’s life and his letters on Christianity today. Registration is not necessary.

Insights from the Hebrew Bible Wednesdays, June 13, July 18, and August 22, 6:30 to 8 p.m., in Room 205

Jesus taught it. Paul explained it. John offered it as the official guide to his Revelation. For nearly 2,000 years, Christians have used the Hebrew Bible to understand the character of God, the creation of the world, the nature of human beings, and the purpose and work of the coming Christ. Dr. Jim Craig, Northern Light Christian Counseling, will offer a brief introduction to the Hebrew Bible, focus on familiar Old Testament passages, and provide simple tools for distilling similar insights from English translations. Each class will cover different passages and is self-contained, so those who can only attend one or two sessions will benefit. Register online at tpcc.org/registration.

Truth@Work Every fourth Wednesday, 8 to 11 a.m., in Room 213

Truth@Work is a ministry that helps men and women in the business community to authentically follow Jesus in the workplace, apply biblical truth to everyday life, and use their influence to advance God’s Kingdom. Contact Chris Arnold at [email protected] or 769.4746 to learn more.

Life Groups Ongoing

It’s easy to get lost in a large church environment. Life groups are a smaller, more intimate setting for growing close to God and each other. Life groups are the primary context for continued growth and life change at TPCC. To find out how to connect in a life group and develop new friendships, contact Don Keehner, Discipleship Pastor, at [email protected] or 769.5557.
