GENERAL OPERATION:

THE AIR HANDLING UNIT SHALL OPERATE CONTINUOUSLY TO PROVIDE A VARIABLE VOLUME OF CONDITIONED SUPPLY AIR TO MULTIPLE INDEPENDENTLY CONTROLLED TEMPERATURE ZONES. OPERATION OF THE AIR HANDLING UNIT SHALL BE VIA THE BUILDING AUTOMATION SYSTEM WITH FACTORY CONTROL OF NATURAL GAS HEATING AND DX COOLING OPERATION.

OCCUPIED MODE - DAMPER AND FAN OPERATION

THE AIR HANDLING UNIT SHALL BE CONSIDERED IN OCCUPIED MODE ONLY DURING NORMAL DAYTIME SCHOOL HOURS OR AS SCHEDULED BY FACILITIES MAINTENANCE STAFF. A START SIGNAL SHALL BE SENT FROM THE BAS TO THE AIR HANDLING UNIT PLACING IT IN OCCUPIED MODE. UPON RECEIPT OF THE “START” SIGNAL, THE FOLLOWING STARTUP SEQUENCE OF EVENTS SHALL OCCUR:

2-POSITION MOTORIZED DAMPERS AT RESPECTIVE OUTSIDE AIR INTAKE AND EXHAUST LOUVERS TO OPEN. DAMPERS SHALL BE PROVEN OPEN BY END SWITCH. A START SIGNAL SHALL NOT BE SENT IF DAMPERS FAIL TO OPEN.

AIR HANDING UNIT OUTSIDE AND RELIEF AIR DAMPERS SHALL OPEN TO MINIMUM POSITIONS AS DETERMINED BY THE AIRSIDE BALANCING CONTRACTOR. AIR HANDLING UNIT RETURN AIR DAMPER TO OPEN TO ITS MAXIMUM POSITION. PROVIDE SUFFICIENT DELAY IN FAN START/STOP TO ALLOW DAMPERS TO OPEN/CLOSE WITHOUT CAUSING DUCT DAMAGE. PROVIDE SUFFICIENT DELAY IN FAN START/STOP TO ALLOW DAMPERS TO OPEN/CLOSE WITHOUT CAUSING DUCT DAMAGE.

NORMALLY CLOSED FIRE SMOKE DAMPERS IN DISTRIBUTION DUCTWORK OPEN. PROVIDE SUFFICIENT DELAY IN FAN START/STOP TO ALLOW FIRE SMOKE DAMPERS TO OPEN/CLOSE WITHOUT CAUSING DUCT DAMAGE.

ALARM BAS IF DAMPERS FAIL TO OPEN OR CLOSE WHEN COMMANDED.

OCCUPED MODE - SUPPLY FAN OPERATION

THE UNIT CONTROLLER SHALL SEND A “START” COMMAND TO THE ZONE-AHU SUPPLY FAN ARRAY. THE SUPPLY FANS SHALL RAMP UP SLOWLY UNTIL THE FAN STABILIZES AT THE ESTABLISHED MOTOR SPEED SETPOINT AS DETERMINED BY THE AIRSIDE BALANCING CONTRACTOR.

REMOTE DUCT STATIC PRESSURE SENSOR SIGNALS CONTROLLER WHICH MODULATES SUPPLY FAN SPEED TO MAINTAIN REQUIRED STATIC PRESSURE SETPOINT AS DETERMINED BY THE AIRSIDE BALANCING CONTRACTOR. STATIC PRESSURE SETPOINTS CONTINUOUSLY RESET TO MAINTAIN AT LEAST TWO TERMINAL UNITS WITH 100% DAMPER POSITION WHILE MAINTAINING SPACE TEMPERATURE SETPOINTS.

ALARM BAS SYSTEM IF COMMAND TO ENERGIZE SUPPLY FAN IS GIVEN BUT CURRENT IS NOT SENSED THROUGH THE DIGITAL CURRENT SENSING DEVICE. ALARM BAS AT HIGH SUPPLY FAN DISCHARGE PRESSURE CONDITION.

OCCUPIED MODE - RETURN FAN OPERATION

THE UNIT CONTROLLER SHALL SEND A “START” COMMAND TO THE AHU RETURN FAN ARRAY. THE RETURN FANS SHALL RAMP UP SLOWLY UNTIL THE FAN-GENERATED STATIC PRESSURE STABILIZES AT THE ESTABLISHED MOTOR SPEED AS DETERMINED BY THE AIRSIDE BALANCING CONTRACTOR.

AIRFLOW MEASURING STATIONS LOCATED IN SUPPLY AND RETURN FANS SIGNAL CONTROLLER WHICH MODULATES RETURN FAN AIRFLOW ACCORDING TO THE FOLLOWING EQUATION: RETURN FAN CFM = SUPPLY FAN CFM - BUILDING EXHAUST FAN CFM - BUILDING PRESSURIZATION. EXHAUST FAN CFM IS BASED ON SUM OF EXHAUST AIRFLOWS. BUILDING PRESSURIZATION AIRFLOW IS 5% OF MAXIMUM SUPPLY FAN CAPACITY.

ALARM BAS SYSTEM IF COMMAND TO ENERGIZE RETURN FAN ARRAY IS GIVEN BUT CURRENT IS NOT SENSED THROUGH THE DIGITAL CURRENT SENSING DEVICE. ALARM BAS AT LOW PRESSURE CONDITION AT RETURN FAN INLET.

OCCUPIED MODE - DX COOLING COIL AND NATURAL GAS BURNER OPERATION

FACTORY CONTROLS OF THE CONDENSING UNIT AND NATURAL GAS BURNER SHALL MODULATE COOLING AND HEATING AS REQIURED TO MAINTAIN THE SUPPLY AIR TEMPERATURE BASED ON A HEATING OR COOLING DEMAND SIGNAL BY THE BAS.

SUPPLY AIR TEMPERATURE SHALL BE RESET AS PER THE BELOW TABLE:

OUTSIDE AIR FLOW WILL BE MONITORED AND CONTROLLED BY AN AIR FLOW STATION AND MOTORIZED DAMPER AT THE AIR HANDLER. WHEN THE ZONE AHU IS ACTIVATED, THE VENTILATION OSA DAMPER WILL MODULATE TO MAINTAIN THE SPECIFIED MINIMUM OUTSIDE AIRFLOW. THE BAS WILL MONITOR CO2 CONCENTRATIONS IN THE ZONES IN REFERENCE TO A PRE-DETERMINED SITE-SPECIFIC CO2 LEVEL. IF A ZONE CO2 LEVEL EXCEEDS 900 PPM, THE VENTILATION OSA FLOW SHALL MODULATE UP TO A MAXIMUM OF 125% OF SPECIFIED MINIMUM OCCUPIED AIRFLOW. SEE PRESSURIZATION CONTROL FOR OTHER CONSTRAINTS ON VENTILATION OSA TURNDOWN.

THE CONTROLLER SHALL CONTINUOUSLY MONITOR THE OUTSIDE AIR TEMPERATURE IN REFERENCE TO THE RETURN AIR TEMPERATURE. IF IT IS DETERMINED THAT THE COOLING DEMAND CAN BE MET FULLY OR PARTIALLY USING THE OUTSIDE AIR, THE UNIT SHALL MODULATE THE OUTSIDE AND RELIEF AIR DAMPERS TO MAINTAIN THE SUPPLY AIR TEMPERATURE SETPOINT. DX COOLING SHALL MODULATE TO TRIM THE SUPPLY AIR TEMPERATURE TO MEET SETPOINT.

UNOCCUPIED MODE

OPTIMUM START: THE AIR HANDLING UNIT SHALL BE PROGRAMMED WITH AN "OPTIMUM START" TIMING ALGORITHM TO EFFFECTIVELY BRING THE SPACES FROM AN UNOCCUPIED-SETBACK OCCUPANCY SUITABLE CONDITIONS PRIOR TO SCHEDULED OCCUPIED PERIODS. HISTORICAL RUNTIME START-UP DATA SHALL BE UTILIZED TO INITIATE AN ANTICIPITAORY PRE-CONDITIONING OF THE ZONE, PRIOR TO THE SCHEDULED OCCUPIED MODE SUCH THAT SETPO0INT CONDTIIONS ARE MET NO SOONER THAN 10 MIN. PRIOR TO SCHEDULED OCCUPANCY.

NIGHT SETBACK AND SETUP: SUPPLY AND RETURN FANS OPERATE WHEN ANY SPACE TEMPERATURE DROPS TO 60 DEGREES F OR BELOW OR RISES TO 85 DEGREES F OR ABOVE IN DESIGNATED ZONES. MAINTAIN FAN OPERATION UNTIL SPACE TEMPERATURE RISES TO 63 DEGREES F (HEATING) OR DROPS TO 82 DEGREES F (COOLING). ASSOCIATED EXHAUST FANS TO REMAIN OFF DURING UNOCCUPIED OPERATION. WHEN FANS OPERATE, OUTDOOR AND RELIEF AIR DAMPERS ARE CLOSED, AND RETURN AIR DAMPER OPEN.

NIGHT PURGE: NIGHT PURGE SHALL BE INITIATED WHENEVER OUTDOOR AIR TEMPERATURE IS 65 DEGREES F OR BELOW AND ANY SPACE TEMPERATURE IS 75 DEGREES F OR ABOVE. SUPPLY AND RETURN FANS OPERATE DURING NIGHT PURGE. DURING NIGHT PURGE OUTSIDE AIR DAMPER OPENS, RELIEF AIR DAMPER OPENS, RETURN AIR DAMPER CLOSES, AND HEATING/COOLING DISABLED. GENERAL OPERATION:

THE AIR HANDLING UNIT SHALL OPERATE CONTINUOUSLY TO PROVIDE A CONSTANT VOLUME OF CONDITIONED SUPPLY AIR TO A SINGLE TEMPERATURE CONTROL ZONE. OPERATION OF THE AIR HANDLING UNIT SHALL BE VIA THE BUILDING AUTOMATION SYSTEM WITH FACTORY CONTROL OF NATURAL GAS HEAT AND DX COOLING OPERATION.

OCCUPIED MODE - DAMPER AND FAN OPERATION

THE AIR HANDLING UNIT SHALL BE CONSIDERED IN OCCUPIED MODE ONLY DURING NORMAL DAYTIME SCHOOL HOURS OR AS SCHEDULED BY FACILITIES MAINTENANCE STAFF. A START SIGNAL SHALL BE SENT FROM THE BAS TO THE AIR HANDLING UNIT PLACING IT IN OCCUPIED MODE. UPON RECEIPT OF THE “START” SIGNAL, THE FOLLOWING STARTUP SEQUENCE OF EVENTS SHALL OCCUR:

2-POSITION MOTORIZED DAMPERS AT RESPECTIVE OUTSIDE AIR INTAKE AND EXHAUST LOUVERS TO OPEN. DAMPERS SHALL BE PROVEN OPEN BY END SWITCH. A START SIGNAL SHALL NOT BE SENT IF DAMPERS FAIL TO OPEN. PROVIDE SUFFICIENT DELAY IN FAN START/STOP TO ALLOW DAMPERS TO OPEN/CLOSE WITHOUT CAUSING DUCT DAMAGE.

AIR HANDING UNIT OUTSIDE AND RELIEF DAMPERS SHALL OPEN TO MINIMUM POSITIONS AS DETERMINED BY T&B. AIR HANDLING UNIT RETURN AIR DAMPER TO OPEN TO ITS MAXIMUM POSITION. DAMPERS TO BE PROVEN OPEN VIA END SWITCHES. A START COMMAND SHALL NOT BE SENT IF DAMPERS FAIL TO OPEN. PROVIDE SUFFICIENT DELAY IN FAN START/STOP TO ALLOW DAMPERS TO OPEN/CLOSE WITHOUT CAUSING DUCT DAMAGE.

NORMALLY CLOSED FIRE SMOKE DAMPERS IN DISTRIBUTION DUCTWORK OPEN. PROVIDE SUFFICIENT DELAY IN FAN START/STOP TO ALLOW FIRE SMOKE DAMPERS TO OPEN/CLOSE WITHOUT CAUSING DUCT DAMAGE.

ALARM BAS IF DAMPERS FAIL TO OPEN OR CLOSE WHEN COMMANDED.

OCCUPED MODE - SUPPLY FAN OPERATION

THE UNIT CONTROLLER SHALL SEND A “START” COMMAND TO THE ZONE-AHU SUPPLY FAN ARRAY. THE SUPPLY FANS SHALL RAMP UP SLOWLY UNTIL THE FAN REACHES THE ESTABLISHED MOTOR SPEED AS DETERMINED BY THE AIRSIDE BALANCING CONTRACTOR.

THE SUPPLY FAN SPEED SHALL MODULATE TO MAINTAIN ZONE TEMPERATURE SETPOINT. THE FAN SPEED SHALL INCREASE AS THE ZONE TEMPERATURE RISES ABOVE COOLING SETPOINT, OR AS THE ZONE TEMPERATURE DROPS BELOW THE HEATING SETPOINT. THE SUPPLY FAN SPEED SHALL NOT DROP BELOW 60% OF THE SCHEDULED AIRFLOW FOR BOTH AIR HANDLING UNITS TO MAINTAIN MINIMUM OUTSIDE AIR REQUIREMENTS. COORDINATE WITH TESTING AND BALANCING CONTRACTOR.

ALARM BAS SYSTEM IF COMMAND TO ENERGIZE SUPPLY FAN IS GIVEN BUT CURRENT IS NOT SENSED THROUGH THE DIGITAL CURRENT SENSING DEVICE. ALARM BAS AT HIGH SUPPLY FAN DISCHARGE PRESSURE CONDITION.

OCCUPIED MODE - RETURN FAN OPERATION

THE UNIT CONTROLLER SHALL SEND A “START” COMMAND TO THE AHU RETURN FAN ARRAY. THE RETURN FANS SHALL RAMP UP SLOWLY UNTIL THE FAN REACHED AT THE ESTABLISHED MOTOR SPEED AS DETERMINED BY THE AIRSIDE BALANCING CONTRACTOR.

AIRFLOW MEASURING STATIONS LOCATED IN SUPPLY AND RETURN FANS SIGNAL CONTROLLER WHICH MODULATES RETURN FAN AIRFLOW ACCORDING TO THE FOLLOWING EQUATION: RETURN FAN CFM = SUPPLY FAN CFM - BUILDING EXHAUST FAN CFM - BUILDING PRESSURIZATION. EXHAUST FAN CFM IS BASED ON SUM OF EXHAUST AIRFLOWS. BUILDING PRESSURIZATION AIRFLOW IS 5% OF MAXIMUM SUPPLY FAN CAPACITY.

ALARM BAS SYSTEM IF COMMAND TO ENERGIZE RETURN FAN ARRAY IS GIVEN BUT CURRENT IS NOT SENSED THROUGH THE DIGITAL CURRENT SENSING DEVICE. ALARM BAS AT LOW PRESSURE CONDITION AT RETURN FAN INLET.

OCCUPIED MODE - DX COOLING COIL AND NATURAL GAS BURNER OPERATION

FACTORY CONTROLS OF THE CONDENSING UNIT AND NATURAL GAS BURNER SHALL MODULATE COOLING AND HEATING AS REQUIREDTO MAINTAIN THE SUPPLY AIR TEMPERATURE BASED ON A HEATING OR COOLING DEMAND SIGNAL BY THE BAS.

OUTSIDE AIR

OUTSIDE AIR FLOW WILL BE MONITORED AND CONTROLLED BY AN AIR FLOW STATION AND MOTORIZED DAMPER AT THE AIR HANDLER. WHEN THE ZONE AHU IS ACTIVATED, THE VENTILATION OSA DAMPER WILL MODULATE TO MAINTAIN THE SPECIFIED MINIMUM OUTSIDE AIRFLOW. THE BAS WILL MONITOR CO2 CONCENTRATIONS IN THE ZONES IN REFERENCE TO A PRE-DETERMINED SITE-SPECIFIC CO2 LEVEL. IF A ZONE CO2 LEVEL EXCEEDS 900 PPM, THE VENTILATION OSA FLOW SHALL MODULATE TO MINIMUM SCHEDULED OUTSIDE AIR VALUE. IF ZONE CO2 LEVEL FALLS BELOW 900 PPM, THE OUTSIDE AIR DAMPER SHALL MODULATE CLOSED TO THE SCHEDULED DCV MIN. VALUE.

THE CONTROLLER SHALL CONTINUOUSLY MONITOR THE OUTSIDE AIR TEMPERATURE IN REFERENCE TO THE RETURN AIR TEMPERATURE. IF IT IS DETERMINED THAT THE COOLING DEMAND CAN BE MET FULLY OR PARTIALLY USING THE OUTSIDE AIR, THE UNIT SHALL MODULATE THE OUTSIDE AND RELIEF AIR DAMPERS TO MAINTAIN THE SUPPLY AIR TEMPERATURE SETPOINT. DX COOLING SHALL MODULATE TO TRIM THE SUPPLY AIR TEMPERATURE TO MEET SETPOINT.

UNOCCUPIED MODE

OPTIMUM START: THE AIR HANDLING UNIT SHALL BE PROGRAMMED WITH AN "OPTIMUM START" TIMING ALGORITHM TO EFFFECTIVELY BRING THE SPACES FROM AN UNOCCUPIED-SETBACK OCCUPANCY SUITABLE CONDITIONS PRIOR TO SCHEDULED OCCUPIED PERIODS. HISTORICAL RUNTIME START-UP DATA SHALL BE UTILIZED TO INITIATE AN ANTICIPITAORY PRE-CONDITIONING OF THE ZONE, PRIOR TO THE SCHEDULED OCCUPIED MODE SUCH THAT SETPO0INT CONDTIIONS ARE MET NO SOONER THAN 10 MIN. PRIOR TO SCHEDULED OCCUPANCY.

NIGHT SETBACK AND SETUP: SUPPLY AND RETURN FANS OPERATE WHEN ANY SPACE TEMPERATURE DROPS TO 60 DEGREES F OR BELOW OR RISES TO 85 DEGREES F OR ABOVE IN DESIGNATED ZONES. MAINTAIN FAN OPERATION UNTIL SPACE TEMPERATURE RISES TO 63 DEGREES F (HEATING) OR DROPS TO 82 DEGREES F (COOLING). ASSOCIATED EXHAUST FANS TO REMAIN OFF DURING UNOCCUPIED OPERATION. WHEN FANS OPERATE, OUTDOOR AND RELIEF AIR DAMPERS ARE CLOSED, AND RETURN AIR DAMPER OPEN.

NIGHT PURGE: NIGHT PURGE SHALL BE INITIATED WHENEVER OUTDOOR AIR TEMPERATURE IS 65 DEGREES F OR BELOW AND SPACE TEMPERATURE IS 75 DEGREES F OR ABOVE. SUPPLY AND RETURN FANS OPERATE DURING NIGHT PURGE. DURING NIGHT PURGE OUTSIDE AIR DAMPER OPENS, RELIEF AIR DAMPER OPENS, RETURN AIR DAMPER CLOSES, AND HEATING/COOLING DISABLED. WHEN SPACES ARE 70 DEGREES F OR BELOW FOR 30 MINUTES, SWITCH TO SHUTDOWN MODE.

WARM-UP CONTROL: OPTIMAL START PROGRAM INITIATES WARM-UP CONTROL. SUPPLY AND RETURN FANS OPERATE DURING WARM-UP. DURING WARM-UP MODE OUTDOOR AND RELIEF AIR DAMPERS CLOSED, RETURN AIR DAMPERS OPEN, HEAT PUMP HEATING TO MAINTAIN 90 DEG. F (adj.) DISCHARGE AIR TEMPERATURE. SEQUENCE OF OPERATION

TERMINAL UNIT CONTROLLER RECEIVES SIGNAL FROM BUILDING CONTROLLER WHICH INITIATES OCCUPIED OR UNOCCUPIED MODE. DURING UNOCCUPIED MODE SPACE TEMPERATURE RESET TO UNOCCUPIED SETPOINTS AND DURING OCCUPIED MODE SPACE TEMPERATURE RESET TO OCCUPIED SETPOINTS. WHEN ENTERING OCCUPIED MODE, USE AN OPTIMAL START ALGORITHM FOR WARM-UP OR COOL-DOWN. MINIMIZE THE WARM-UP OR COOL-DOWN PERIOD WHILE STILL ACHIEVING COMFORT CONDITIONS BY THE START OF SCHEDULED OCCUPIED PERIOD.

UNOCCUPIED MODE:

CLOSE DAMPER, SHUT OFF FAN, AND DISABLE ELECTRIC HEATER. IGNORE ANY SIGNALS FROM SPACE CARBON DIOXIDE SENSORS.

IF SPACE TEMPERATURE IS GREATER THAN UNOCCUPIED COOLING SETPOINT, AND IF CENTRAL AIR HANDLING UNIT SUPPLY FAN IS RUNNING, MODULATE DAMPER BETWEEN MINIMUM AND MAXIMUM COOLING AIRFLOW SETPOINTS TO MAINTAIN SPACE TEMPERATURE AT UNOCCUPIED COOLING SETPOINT.

IF SPACE TEMPERATURE IS LESS THAN UNOCCUPIED HEATING SETPOINT, MODULATE DAMPER BETWEEN MINIMUM AND MAXIMUM HEATING AIRFLOW SETPOINTS AND MODULATE ELECTRIC HEAT TO MAINTAIN SPACE TEMPERATURE AT UNOCCUPIED HEATING SETPOINT.

OCCUPIED MODE:

MODULATE DAMPER TO MAINTAIN MINIMUM AIRFLOW SETPOINT AND DISABLE ELECTRIC HEATER.

IF SPACE TEMPERATURE IS GREATER THAN OCCUPIED COOLING SETPOINT, MODULATE DAMPER BETWEEN MINIMUM AND MAXIMUM COOLING AIRFLOW SETPOINTS TO MAINTAIN SPACE TEMPERATURE AT OCCUPIED COOLING SETPOINT.

IF SPACE TEMPERATURE IS LESS THAN OCCUPIED HEATING SETPOINT, MODULATE DAMPER BETWEEN MINIMUM AND MAXIMUM HEATING AIRFLOW SETPOINTS AND MODULATE ELECTRIC HEAT TO MAINTAIN SPACE TEMPERATURE AT OCCUPIED HEATING SETPOINT.

FOR ZONES EQUIPPED WITH CO2 SENSORS (SEE PLANS): IF SPACE CO2 CONCENTRATION IS GREATER THAN 900 PPM (ADJ.) MODULATE DAMPER BETWEEN MINIMUM AND MAXIMUM COOLING AIRFLOW SETPOINTS TO MAINTAIN CONCENTRATION AT SETPOINT. MODULATE ELECTRIC HEAT AS NECESSARY TO MAINTAIN SPACE TEMPERATURE. WHEN ZONE CO2 CONCENTRATION DROPS BELOW 800 PPM, RESUME NORMAL TEMPERATURE MAINTENANCE OPERATION. ALARM THE BAS IF CO2 LEVELS EXCEED 1300 PPM (adj.).

WARM-UP MODE:

TERMINAL UNIT RECEIVES GLOBAL SIGNAL FROM BUILDING CONTROLLER TO INITIATE WARM-UP MODE. DURING WARM-UP MODE DISABLE ELECTRIC HEATER AND MODULATE DAMPER BETWEEN MINIMUM AND MAXIMUM AIRFLOW SETPOINTS TO MAINTAIN SPACE TEMPERATURE AT OCCUPIED HEATING SETPOINT.

TYPE I EXHAUST FAN TO BE STARTED AND STOPPED VIA THE HOOD CONTROL PANEL SWTICH. FAN STATUS TO BE MONITORED VIA A CT SWITCH. IF THE FAN FAILS TO OPERATE WHEN COMMANDED, ALARM THE BAS.

MAKEUP AIR UNIT SHALL BE COMMANDED TO RUN WHEN THE TYPE 1 HOOD EXHAUST FAN RUNS. UPON A CALL TO START THE MAKEUP AIR UNIT, OPEN OUTSIDE AIR ISOLATION DAMPER. START AFTER A 15 SECOND (adj.) DELAY. OUTSIDE AIR DAMPER TO CLOSE WHEN MAKEUP AIR UNIT IS OFF. MAKEUP AIR UNIT TO BE INTERLOCKED WITH DAMPER END SWITCH. IF END SWITCH INDICATES DAMPER IS CLOSED, MAKEUP AIR UNIT SHALL RECEIVE NO POWER AND ALARM BAS.

THE MAKEUP AIR UNIT SHALL BE PROVIDED WITH FACTORY-MOUNTED DISCHARGE AIR TEMPERATURE CONTROLS. THE BAS SHALL HAVE THE CAPABILITY TO START, STOP, AND MONITOR THE MAKEUP AIR UNIT.

TYPE 2 EXHAUST FAN TO RUN CONTINUOUSLY DURING OCCUPIED HOURS TO PROVIDE CODE-REQUIRED VENTILATION TO THE KITCHEN. THE FAN STATUS SHALL BE MONITORED VIA A CT SWITCH. IF THE FAN FAILS TO OPERATE WHEN COMMANDED, ALARM THE BAS. UPON A CALL TO START FAN, OPEN ISOLATION DAMPER. START FAN AFTER END SWITCH PROVES THE DAMPER IS OPEN. DAMPER TO CLOSE WHEN FAN IS COMMANDED OFF. FAN TO BE INTERLOCKED WITH DAMPER END SWITCH. IF END SWITCH INDICATES DAMPER IS CLOSED, FAN SHALL RECEIVE NO POWER.
