LAN cable (shielded)
Interface cable for connecting the application server
IP addresses (for disk array unit and connection ports)
Network equipment (if necessary)

At least three disk drives
Operators (a minimum of two workers)
Perform the following setup operations with respect
to the application server to which this unit is to be
connected:
- Acquiring a host adapter WWPN- Mounting the host bus adapter
- Installing the host bus adapter driver
- Installing PathManager(When using PathManager)
Perform the following procedure:
1) Starting the setup Preparation and Procedure
2) Checking appearance and features3) Rack Installation
4) Disk Drive Installation
5) Connection connecting the cables
6) Powering on and initializing the Disk Array system

4.2 Installing Disk DrivesFollow the procedure below.1. When a front bezel has been attached, detach it.2. Remove dummy carriers from the slots where disk drives will
be installed.3. Mount disk drives.
4. Repeat steps (2) and (3) as many times as the number of diskdrives you want to install.
4.2.1 Procedure for Removing a Dummy CarrierPull the eject lever on a dummy carrier until the angle is about 40degrees. Pull out the dummy carrier straight to the direction as thearrows in the following illustration shows.
4.2.2 Procedure for Mounting a Disk Drive1. Pull the eject lever on a disk drive until the angle is about 40
degrees. The eject lever is closed by default on the disk drive.
2. Hold the disk drive steadily and insert it to the middle of the slot inthe disk drive unit or a disk enclosure.
3. With the eject lever on the disk drive open, slowly insert the diskdrive until it stops while holding theeject lever.
4. Press the eject lever into the disk drive to lock the drive.
