TAM Is the Ozone converter the same as the one already fitted on the aircraft? AIRBUS  No, it will be another one. DEUTSCHE LUFTHANSA What measures have been taken by Airbus towards EASA to avoid having to install the system? AIRBUS Airbus participated last year to an EASA working group and the result was that it was demonstrated that retrofit is not cost effective and not required. EASA will issue the NPA end of June 2009. Airbus will continue to provide justifications to avoid the retrofit requirements. DEUTSCHE LUFTHANSA The system does not improve safety and is not cost effective. AIRBUS Airbus agrees. We have tried to avoid with FAA & EASA and we will approach EASA again. QATAR AIRWAYS What is the MSN embodiment point and Airbus position for next years deliveries? AIRBUS Its too early to provide the response, we will inform you through an OIT as soon as possible (we need one or two more months to define the embodiment point). TACA INTERNATIONAL AIRLINES Can the two Service Bulletins be embodied at different times? AIRBUS Yes, the two Service Bulletins can be embodied at different times. TACA INTERNATIONAL AIRLINES Will Airbus develop and provide training for maintenance crews? AIRBUS Yes, we will do that through our Training Centers. US AIRWAYS There are 100 aircraft to retrofit in four years. Is it possible to certify a second supplier, as it will be difficult for just one supplier to face the demand? AIRBUS Development and certification costs of the system are very high and therefore, we have only considered one supplier. US AIRWAYS If it is such an important system, why is the MEL limited to ten days? AIRBUS Ten days is our objective, which is considered a success. ETHIAD AIRWAYS We need turnkey solutions, not just Service Bulletins, with the backing of Airbus for price and lead-time. All the MROs have to be able to perform this retrofit as well as Airbus working parties. AIRBUS This retrofit is too big for Airbus working parties alone so yes; Airbus takes the point to use MROs.

AIR NEW ZEALAND Can Airbus provide data to support an exemption submission to the New Zealand airworthiness authorities? AIRBUS Yes, we will support you. ALITALIA What is the part number commonality to have an Airbus program and suppliers? AIRBUS A lot of parts are common between the A320 and A330 / A340. However the ASM (Air Separator Module) is different due to a compromise between the belly fairing and the effective size of the ASM. The original target was always to maximize commonality of parts. IBERIA Have you updated ALS? AIRBUS Action: It will be evaluated in the frame of the certification (end 2009). TAM How easy is the maintenance access to the system? AIRBUS The drain points access is possible by removing one belly fairing panel, it takes 50 to 60 minutes to remove and reinstall the pallet. Components are on condition, so maintenance will only be required if the system is faulty. AEGEAN AIRLINES Does Airbus consider that MTBF of 4000 FH to be sufficient? AIRBUS The MTBF is for the complete system, so it is acceptable. AERCAP This Airworthiness Directive is outside the redelivery conditions for leasing customers and therefore will be a big burden to lessors ? How can Airbus support the lessors ? AIRBUS We propose a specific session with lessors to be organized once the final EASA position is fully known.

AIR ARABIA All the events appear to have been on Boeing aircraft and not Airbus aircraft. What makes the Airbus design safer? AIRBUS We cannot comment on Boeing aircraft, but full details have been provided to FAA and EASA to justify our position. QATAR AIRWAYS Will Airbus provide free of charge support for FWC H2F5 retrofit? AIRBUS Airbus will provide support. VIETNAM AIRLINES Will this modification be on our new aircraft before delivery? AIRBUS We do not know yet the production MSN embodiment rank, we will know in two months. DELTA / NORTHWEST AIRLINES Will the system generate Class 1 message? AIRBUS No, it is a Class 2 message: Fuel Inerting Fault TURKISH AIRLINES Is the MSCN modification chargeable? We request non-chargeable. AIRBUS The MSCN is chargeable. UNITED AIRLINES We request the man-hour breakdown. AIRBUS Yes, we will provide you the man-hour breakdown.

UNITED AIRLINES Can suppliers support this retrofit, as Boeing use the same suppliers ? AIRBUS We have not talked with Boeing. Parker have some common parts, however we have checked that Parker can support this retrofit volume.
