FlexibilityWe recognise that all IoT deploymentsare different. They reflect the type ofservices required, applications or expec-ted geographical footprints. We, there-fore, provide a range of networkoptions. Understanding your operationalrequirements will allow us to togetherselect the SIM type(s) which best com-plement your needs. For example,
the types of networks to be supportedwhether data-only is required [or ifSMS (closed or open), voice, or a VPNare additionally desired]. This is import-ant for anticipating your current andfuture operational requirements,functional arc and favoured coststructures.
Once the SIM type [network routingpassport] is selected with its associatedconnectivity plans, operational paramet-ers can be remotely configured andmodified by using our SIM/Connectivitymanagement system. Our systemsmake operational tasks simple forcustomers. The secure web portalsallow clients to manage and controltheir own SIM estates if desired.Distributor accounts can also beconfigured and branded with subsets ofthe required functionality. Meaning thatmultiple sub-distributors can performauthorised actions on SIMs; hierarchic-ally from this single connectivityplatform.
Many SIMs are factory fitted or fed intoan existing complex supply chain. Tohelp, we provide SIMs with an alloca-tion for factory testing which are placedin a ‘Pending’ status. Once the factorytesting provision is exceeded, the SIMwill be placed in the Automatic Activa-tion Group as specified by the clientuser. If this feature is not required,SIMs can be manually activated usingthe Caburn Systems at the appropriatetime. These SIMs or groups of SIMscan always be suspended at any point.The status of SIMs are viewablethrough searchable filters.
