SYLLABUS OF M.A. (PREVIOUS) HISTORY (SEMESTER SYSTEM) SCHEME OF EXAMINATIONS AND COURSES OF READING (W.E.F. 2012-13) M.A. History Course shall be a two years Degree Course consisting of four Semesters of 2000 marks. The candidate shall take Five Papers in each Semester, i.e., 20 Papers in the full Course. Each Paper will carry 100 marks out of which 20 marks shall be earmarked for Internal Assessment. The candidate shall take one out of the two Specialization Papers and any two Optional Papers out of the given list of five Optional Papers. Note: -The question paper will consist of nine questions. The candidate shall attempt five questions in all. Note: -The question paper will consist of nine questions. The candidate shall attempt five questions in all. Question No. 1 will be compulsory, which will consist of four short conceptual / thematic questions of equal marks (i.e. 4 marks each) spread over the whole syllabus. The candidate shall attempt four more questions, selecting at least one from each Unit. Each question will carry equal marks ( i.e. 16 marks).
