Ang paalalang ito ay batay sababala ng direktor ng PhilippineInstitute of Volcanology and Seis-mology (Phivolcs) na si Dr. Rena-to Solidum sa Sangguniang Pang-lalawigan (SP) noong Biyernes,Setyembre 18, kung kailan isi-nagawa ang isang committeehearing matapos ang privilegedspeech ni Bise Gob. WilhelminoAlvarado noong Setyembre 8hinggil sa depekto ng Angat Dam.

Komite de kamoteKUNG minsan, nagbibiro ang tadhana upang ipaalala ang mgaaral ng nagdaang panahon sa kasalukuyang henerasyon.

Matatandaan na kabilang sa mga ginamit na katwiran nidating Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos sa pagdedeklara ng batasmilitar noong Setyembre 21, 1972 ay ang kawalan ngpinatutunguhan ng mga pagdinig ng iba’t ibang komite at angmalawak na pagbaha sa Gitnang Luzon.

Kasabihan noon, kung gusto mong walang mangyari saisang usapin, ipasok mo sa komite. Ang kalagayang ito ayhindi naiiba sa mga kasalukuyang pangyayari. Sa Senado atKongreso, walang humpay ang pulong at imbestigasyon ngmga komite, pero ano ang resulta?

Ganyan din sa Sangguniang Panglalawigan ng Bulacan,laging may mga pagdinig na isinasagawa ang iba’t ibangkomite lalo na kapag may kasangguniang nagsagawa ng privi-leged speech.

Isa sa pinakahuling pagdinig na isinagawa sa Sanggu-niang Panglalawigan ng Bulacan ay hinggil sa mga depektong Angat Dam na isinagawa noong Biyernes, Setyembre 18.Ito ay bilang tugon sa privileged speech ni Bise Gob.Wilhelmino Alvarado noong Setyembre 8 kung kailan sinabiniyang kumakatas ang tubig sa dike ng 41-taong Angat Dam,bukod pa sa iyon ay nasa ibabaw ng Marikina fault line.

Napukaw ang mga bokal kaya’t buong pagkakaisa nilangpinagtibay ang pagsasagawa ng isang imbestigasyon ngSanggunian bilang “committee as a whole”. Nangangahuluganito na dadalo sa isang pagdinig ang bawat kagawad ngSangguniang Panglalawigan na kumakatawan sa kapakananat kinabukasan ng may tatlong milyong Bulakenyo upangmatukoy ang katotohanan hinggil sa depekto ng Angat Dampara sila ang maghatid ng tumpak na impormasyon sa mgaBulakenyo sa kanilang mga distrito at sektor na kinakatawan.

Totoo. Dumalo man o hindi ang ilang bokal ay malalamannila ang pinag-usapan, dahil mayroon namang katitikan angnasabing pagdinig. Subalit iba pa rin kung nandoon sila mismodahil anumang alinlangan ay maaari nilang itanong at linawinsa mga dalubhasang imbitado sa pagdinig.

Ito ay hindi isang pambabatikos, sa halip ay isangpagpapaalala sa mga bokal na halal ng bayan na mayroonsilang sinumpaang tungkulin sa sambayanang Bulakenyokanilang kinakatawan, bukod pa sa pangakong pinagtibay nilasa loob ng bulawagan ng Sangguniang Panglalawigan nalalahok sila sa imbestigasyong kanilang pinagtibay atpinagkaisahan.

The silent killerIN 2010, Benigno Aquino, Salva-dor Escudero, Gilberto Teoodoroor Manuel Villar may be Presi-dent. Whoever is elected will in-herit, from outgoing (hopefully)President Gloria Macapagal-Ar-royo, three “inevitables”: death,taxes – and nearly 92 million Fili-pinos. Populationwise, we’d be 20Singapores.

Rewind to 1940. The census,that year, informed PresidentManuel Quezon there were al-most 20 million Filipinos. Que-zon’s successor, next year, willhave five times that pre-WorldWar II headcount.

Fast forward to 2016. Noynoy,Chiz, Gibo or Manny will stepdown from Malacañang. (“Whatabout me?” asks Erap, shackledby plunder and murder charges)He will also pass on three “in-evitables”: death, taxes — andprobably 101.6 million Filipinos.We’d equal eight Cambodiasthen.

That’s a given. Populationgrowth has a momentum that ig-nores presidents and bishops.Not “all thy piety nor wit shall… cancel half a line,” OmarKhayam wrote.

Consider the “youth bulge”.

LIKE love and freedom, justice isa big word that means manythings to many people.

It has suffered so muchstretching that it often appearsdistorted, warped and made useof. Its basic element is forgottenunder so much clever overlays,questionable leavenings or sheermalice. Sometimes we are noteven aware of it.

These distortions and selfishuse of justice, of course, generatetheir own drama that leads us toextended conflicts, usuallyframed within the arena of theinconsequential aspects of the is-sue, but not the root of the issuesitself.

There’s often much ado aboutnothing. Only self-interests aredisturbed, feelings strained, bit-ing discord generated. The highercommon good is ignored, the big-ger picture neglected, blindingpassions revved up.

They remind us of what St.James says in his Letter: “Wherejealousy and selfish ambition ex-ist, there is disorder and every

foul practice. But the wisdomfrom above is first of all pure, thenpeaceable, gentle, compliant, fullof mercy and good fruits, withoutinconstancy or insincerity.” (3,16-17)

What is this basic element, orthe nucleus of justice? It is noneother than an abiding sense ofwhat we owe to others—first toGod, then to others. Our mainproblem is that when we see oth-ers, we tend to think only of whatthey mean or have to do with us.

Instead of others-oriented, weare self-oriented. This is a pre-dicament we have to be moreaware of, so we can be properlyguided and reminded of our du-ties. We need to continually in-dulge in certain exercises to putus in the right track. Hopefullythe proper attitude becomes sec-ond nature in the future.

Let us examine ourselves:What do I think every time I seea person, or consider a person inmy mind? If it’s duties we owe tothem, then we are starting to livejustice. If we get stuck in the ex-

ternals and, worse. pursuethoughts about how they canmean to us, we are taking thewrong turn of the crossroad.

We also need to realize everdeeply that justice is an alwaysconcern. We don’t think of it onlywhen big problems—usuallycausing us some discomfort—erupt. It has to be a permanentattitude which we put in activemode both in ordinary and ex-traordinary situations. It shouldnever be allowed to sleep.

Obviously, all this will dependon an objective law of right andwrong, good and evil. This lawjust cannot be generated fromwithin oneself. It has to comefrom outside us—more correctly,from above us, God himself.

Thus, we need to understandthat justice can only be properlylived if there is an abiding rela-tionship between a person andGod, between a society and God,between our legal system andGod, etc.

Majority of Filipinos are young.With hormones in overdrive,many start families early, despitemarriage codes that jack up mini-mum age requirements. Theytarry in reproductive yearslonger. Family planning servicesare patchy.

Other Asian nations havecompleted their “demographictransition”. That’s when deathand birth rates drop, and popu-lation stabilizes at lower levels.Have we even started?

The “Asean Twins” offer acase study. Thailand and the Phil-ippines had, in the 1970s, almostidentical demographic and eco-nomic profiles. Thailand adopteda population policy. We waffled.

Today, there are almost 64million Thais. Contrast that with88.5 million Filipinos that our de-layed 2007 census tallied. Abogged down demographic tran-sition added 24.5 million Filipi-nos more. That’s almost one Ma-laysia.

The bitter debate over theReproductive Health bills, mean-while, continues. Ironically, bothsides agree on key points.

All concur that the cascade ofwizened ill-nourished babies, into

city slums or rural hovels, shortof food, medicine, clean water, etc.is a scandal. This can not con-tinue. Otherwise, we forfeit allclaims to being a humane society.

Shrill advocates or opponentsof RH bills blur the fact that gov-ernment and church agree on re-sponsible parenthood.

THIRTY-TWO year old Arman,an account executive in an adver-tising firm, was 27 when he wasdiagnosed of hypertension, morepopularly called high blood pres-sure. With the increasing price ofthe medication he was pre-scribed, he took his medicine er-ratically, usually when he hadsymptoms only. After attendinga tension-filled meeting one day,he suddenly felt dizzy with nau-sea and vomiting. His blood pres-sure surged. His wife immedi-ately brought him to a nearbyhospital, and fortunately for him,his blood pressure was controlledimmediately.

Filipinos suffering from hy-pertension are increasing innumber and most of them arewalking time bombs which canexplode anytime with seriouscomplications. “Two in every 10Filipino adults, 20 years and over,are hypertensive,” reports theFood and Nutrition Research In-stitute.

About half of 12.6 million Fili-pinos with hypertension are notaware of their condition untilthey begin to suffer illnesses thathave associated complicationwith hypertension. “Hyperten-sion per se does not kill, but thecomplications are the ones thatdisable and kill a hypertensive,”says Dr. Rafael Castillo, a cardi-ologist at the Manila Doctors’Hospital.

Health authorities considerhypertension a stubborn problembecause it involves so many of thebody’s interlocking systems, andlying at the center of it all is theheart. Blood travels through ourbody by flowing through arteries,carrying oxygen-rich blood fromour heart to other tissues andorgans. Once oxygen is deliveredto our tissues and organs, oxygen-poor blood travels back to ourheart through our veins. Ourheart then pumps this blood intoour lungs, where it is replenishedwith oxygen. After returning toour heart, the blood is pumped

out into our arteries again.Blood pressure (BP) is the

force exerted by blood againstartery walls as it circulatesthrough our body. Normally,people have certain standards ofBP, with a reading of 140/90 con-sidered the median or average.The upper number, called the sys-tolic, refers to the pumping capa-bility of the heart, while the lowernumber, termed the diastolic, re-fers to the pressure exerted bythe blood vessels all over the body.

A person is said to be hyper-tensive if he or she has persistentelevations of BP: a systolic bloodpressure greater than 140 mmHg (millimeters mercury) or adiastolic blood pressure of morethan 90 mm Hg.

An individual has a mild hy-pertension if the systolic BP isbetween 140 to 159 mm Hg or thediastolic BP is between 90 to 99mm Hg. When the systolic BP ishigher than 160 mm Hg or a di-astolic BP is greater than 100 mmHg, a person is said to have amoderate to severe hypertension.

Many things can cause bloodpressure to rise. When we areasleep, our blood pressure is lowbecause our body needs less oxy-gen-rich blood when it is at rest.On the other hand, when we areexercising, our body’s demandsare greater, and so our blood pres-sure increases.

“It is perfectly normal for yourblood pressure to rise and fall inresponse to your body’s needsthroughout the day,” says Dr.Willie T. Ong, chair of the Depart-ment of Medicine at Our Lady ofPeace Hospital.

Hypertension occurs when thesmall blood vessels that branchoff from the arteries become con-stricted making it difficult forblood to pass through them. Thisadds to the workload of the heartand the increased peripheral re-sistance in the arteries result tohypoperfusion of vital organswhich could hamper their func-

The goodnews is, we do not have to crackour brains for new ideas becausethe ideal people’s platform al-ready exists, and it is alreadycontained in Agenda 21, the na-tional agenda for sustainable de-velopment for the 21st century.

First things first- Agenda 21might have been a product ofgovernment processes, but it isan agenda that now belongs tothe people, because it has alreadybeen affirmed by the Congressthat represents the will of thepeople. Having clarified that, itis no longer a question ofwhether the people should sup-port it or not, because that is nolonger debatable. The issue nowis whether we are going to imple-ment it or not, whether we aregoing to just let it rot as a paperdocument or not.

Agenda 21 is a well writtenand is a well thought of docu-ment. In a manner of speaking,it is a good showcase of how goodwe are in expressing ourselves inwritten English. The only re-

maining question now iswhether or not we will also be-come good in making it happen,because talk is one thing becausetalk is cheap. Talk is easy, butwhat is hard is to stop talkingand to start acting.

Looking back at the back-ground of Agenda 21, it is the lo-cal manifestation of interna-tional agreements reached in Riode Janeiro, meaning that it is notjust our own national will thatis at stake here, it is also ourplace in the community of na-tions that is at stake. We said yesto the rest of the world, so thereis no more excuse for us to getout of our global commitmentsno matter what local difficultieswe are going to have.

Talking about internationalcommitments, it seems that weas a nation is not doing too wellin our commitments to theUnited Nations, in terms of theMillennium Development Goals(MDGs) and the Human Devel-opment Index (HDI). This couldactually be a source of collectivenational shame, if only we couldrealize the gravity of our collec-tive national failure.

Sa buong lalawigan ng Bulacan,“sa San Rafael pa lang may nagtata-nim at nagbebenta ng bunga at cut-

tings ng dragon fruit, kaya tiyak namalaki ang kikitain ng mga magsasa-ka sa amin,” sabi pa ni Trinidad.“Kinakapos pa rin sila ng ibebentangbunga dahil sa marami ang nagha-hanap.”

Bukod sa kakaunti pa ang nagta-tanim ng dragon fruit sa lalawigan,isa sa mga dahilan kung bakit ma-benta ang bunga nito ang paniniwalang marami na maganda ang benepis-yo nito sa kalusugan at katawan.

Ayon kay Trinidad, ang dragonfruit ay nakakagamot kung hindiman ay nakakapigil sa pagkalat ngkanser sa katawan ng tao dahil samga sangkap ito na panlaban sa tina-tawag na “free radicals”.

Bukod dito, marami rin ang nani-niwalang nakakabawas sa hyperten-sion at blood sugar ang dragon fruit;at nakakatulong na mapaganda angpaglusaw ng pagkain sa bituka, naka-katulong sa pagpapalinaw ng mata,pagpapatibay ng ngipin at mga buto.

Sinabi pa ng hepe ng San RafaelMAO na malaki rin ang benepisyo ngdragon fruit sa pagbibigay ng ener-hiya sa katawan ng tao, nagpapa-lambot din ito ng balat, nakakabawassa kolesterol, nagpapalakas ng resis-tensya at nagpapabilis sa paggalingng mga sugat.

Ipinagmalaki pa niya na kasalu-kuyan nilang higit na pinauunlad angdragon fruit sa bayang ito bilangpaghahanda sa paglulunsad nitobilang pangunahing produkto ng SanRafael.

“We are developing it as our one-town-one product,” aniya.

Iginiit pa niya na bukod sa pagpa-palawak ng pagsasaka ng dragon fruitsa bayang ito, pinaghahandaan na rinnila ang pagtatayo ng pasilidad parasa paggawa ng ibang produkto mulasa dragon fruit.

“Mayor Silverio is serious aboutdragon fruit dahil nakita niya ang po-tential nito kaya naghahanda na kamipara sa pagtatayo ng refinery,” aniTrindad.

Binanggit niya na ang mga bungang dragon fruit na hindi maibebentaay ipoproseso sa nasabing refinerypara gawing juice o kaya ay suka.

“Gusto ni Mayor Silverio ay wa-lang tapon, kaya yung mga reject okaya ay maliliit na dragon fruit nahindi maibebenta ay ipapasok sa re-finery for processing into other prod-ucts,” ani Trinidad. — DB

Binanggit ng MWSSang Report No. 1 ni Dr.Kaare Hoeg ng NorwegianTechnical Institute noongNobyembre 29, 2002 nanagsasabing, “The new in-formation about the Mari-kina Fault and the uncer-tainties related to the futureearthquake loads, and dueto lack of performancemonitoring to evaluate thepresent conditions of thestructures, the level of riskinvolved is unacceptable.”

Para naman kina Romu-aldo Beltran ng Napocor atJose Dorado ng MWSS,walang dapat ipangambahinggil sa Angat Dam dahilnananatiling matatag iyon.

Ipinaliwanag ni Beltranna ang Angat Dam ay isangrock-fill dam at hindi itokongkreto.

Ito ay nangangahulu-gan, sabi ng inhenyero ng

Napocor, na kung sakalinglumindol ng malakas ayhindi basta masisira angdike ng dam tulad ng mgakongkretong dike.

Ipinagmalaki pa ni Bel-tran na pumasa sa paman-tayan ng mga Hapon angdikeng itinayo noongunang bahagi ng dekada60.

“Kung sakaling masi-sira ng lindol, hindi bastamagigiba yung dike ngdam. Instead, its rock, soiland sand composition willonly be compacted below,”ani Beltran.

Inayunan naman ito niDorado at sinabing “AngatDam is safe under normalconditions.”

dynamic relationship which can admit some errors andconfusion. So we need to give allowance to these possi-bilities. But if it is earnestly pursued, I’m sure we can seethe true face of justice.

Short of that, let’s not deceive ourselves and say wehave justice. We will never have justice. At best, we canhave an appearance of justice, which can be worse, sinceit will be a very treacherous kind of justice.

Sad to say, this is what we have aplenty. Without astrong mooring on God, we go about trying to have jus-tice in our own conflicting terms. Things can get worsewhen the media come in, since another agenda alien tothe original intent of justice can be pursued.

The recent Simala controversy is an illustrative ex-ample. I suppose all parties involved have a point to make,as in all other controversies. When the media joins in,usually already with a defined, if hidden, bias, the pic-ture which in the first place is not supposed to be seen byall, gets more muddled.

I wonder what kind of justice will be achieved here.Just the same, some good can always come out. In thisparticular case, I’m happy that allegations about gay pre-sentations within the shrine are emerging, so that theseanomalies can be corrected, if painfully.

In one Christmas clergy party (not in Cebu), I wasdevastated to see a priest, who acted as the emcee, dressedas a girl with wigs, screaming make-up and revealing off-shoulder gown. Some bishops were there, and a goodnumber of the laity also.

is his registered name as appearing in his Certificate of Live Birth is-sued by the Local Civil Registrar of Bocaue, Bulacan. Despite the factthat petitioners Evangeline and Roberto Jr., were not legally married,they still entered under Entry No. 18 of the Certificate of Live Bir th ofminor Robert Evans Valeriano Aquino that they were married on Feb-ruary 16, 1993 at Manila City Hall. Petitioner Roberto M. Aquino Jr, willfile a petition for permanent residency in Australia for petitionerEvangeline R. Valeriano and her children including petitioner RobertEvans Valeriano Aquino, hence, there is now a need to correct andshow the legal status of minor Petitioner as illegitimate and to be con-sistent with records of birth or minor petitioner’s sibling. To prove thatpetitioner parents were not legally married, the secured a certificationbefore the City Civil Registry Office for the City of Manila wherein thelatter issued a Certification dated July 1, 2009 certifying that there isno record of marriage between petitioners Evangeline R. Valeriano andRoberto M. Aquino, Jr. The Certificate of Live Birth of the other chil-dren of petitioners Evangeline R. Valeriano and Roberto M. Aquino, Jr.,and siblings of petitioner Robert Evans Valeriano Aquino, namely: RuthEllaine Valeriano born on August 26, 1998 and Robert Earl Valerianoborn on February 16, 2001 will further prove that petitioner RobertEvans V. Majority of Filipinos with hyper-tension have no symptoms and manydon’t even realize they have highblood pressure.

“Practically nine out of 10 hyper-tensive patients have uncontrolledblood pressure which make themgood candidates to develop heart at-tacks and strokes, or literally dropdead before they could realize whatwas wrong with them,” said Dr.Esperanza Cabral, who used to headthe Philippine Society of Hyperten-sion.

Studies have shown that only 14percent of Filipinos with hyperten-sion are aware of their condition. Ofthose who know they’re hyperten-sive, only half are taking medications;and of those who are taking medica-tions, less than half have their bloodpressure controlled to optimal levels.

Peoplewho are overweight, smoke, eat saltyand fatty regularly, drink excessively,physically inactive or suffer frequent

stress are generally at a higher riskof developing high blood pressure.People who have a family history ofhypertension are also more likely todevelop hypertension. There are alsoless common causes of hypertensiondue to disorders of the kidney andendocrine glands.

Perhaps the best thing you can dofor yourself once you’ve been diag-nosed with hypertension is to investin a home blood pressure monitor. Adaily measurement of your bloodpressure can indicate whether yourmedication and home remedies areactually working to lower your bloodpressure. But even if you notice animprovement, don’t stop taking adoctor-prescribed medication unlessyou have your physician’s approval.

“Hypertension is truly a seriousproblem that requires more seriousattention,” points out Dr. Cabral.“It’s no longer acceptable that justany doctor can treat any patient withhypertension. Many cases of hyper-tension are more complicated thanthey seem.”

that our present national system ofreporting our MDG compliance tothe United Nations is not honest andneither is it transparent. As far as Iknow, all member countries of theUnited Nations are supposed to re-port actual empirical data that arecollected from below, from the localcity and municipal data sets, and wedo not seem to be doing that. Grant-ing for the sake of argument thatAgenda 21 is too broad of a documentto be used as a people’s platform, wecould nonetheless argue that thosewho are seeking the vote of thepeople for local and national posi-tions should base their campaignpromises on the delivery of MDGs,which are really nothing more thatthe internationally accepted meansof measuring the delivery of basicservices at the local and the nationallevels.

In the absence of any other em-

pirical means of measuring the suc-cess or failure of local and nationalgovernance, we should just turn tothe global measures set by the HDImethod, namely the measurement ofthe per capita income, the literacyrate and the mortality rate. Simplyput, the per capita income is a goodmeans of measuring the poverty rate,the literacy rate is a good means ofmeasuring the delivery of educationservices, and the mortality rate is agood means of measuring the deliv-ery of health services.

For the record, not all of the Re-gional Development Councils (RDCs)are meeting regularly and religiouslyas mandated by the law. This givesus the clue that the MDG compliancereports of the national governmentare probably just fabricated figures,because the data from below shouldhave been validated by the RDCs, ifonly they are really meeting as they

are supposed to be.As we start to choose the candi-

dates that we will vote for, we shouldstart asking them how they are go-ing to implement Agenda 21 if theyare elected, and how they are goingto comply with our local and nationalMDG commitments, as well as howthey are going to increase or lowerthe local and national HDI measuresas the case may be. Truth to tell,promises of delivering livelihoodwould only address a means to anend, because in the final reckoning,it is the increase in the per capita in-come that matters most.

Ayon kay Jaime Corpuz, pangulo ng HCS-Bulacan,dalawang Bahay Kastila sa lalawigan ang giniba mulaEnero ng kasalukuyang taon, samantalang dalawa pa angibinenta. Isa sa mga giniba ang bahay ng yumaong si da-ting Gob. Pablo Tecson ng San Miguel dahil sa hindi namapigilan ang anay sa pagsira ng gusali. Ang nasabingtahanan ay muling itinayo sa Bagac, Bataan.

Dito sa Malolos, ang lumang bahay ng pamilya Reyessa Barangay Sto. Niño ay naibenta na. Iyon ang bahayna ginamit na tanggapan ni Apolinario Mabini na nag-silbing Kalihim para sa Ugnayang Panglabas sa panahonni Pangulong Emilio Aguinaldo.

Matatagpuan ang nasabing bahay ng pamilya Reyessa kabayanan ng Malolos, katabi ng katedral na ngayonay tinatawag na Basilica Minore. Ang katedral ng Malolosay nagsilbing tahanan ni Aguinaldo o “Palacio Pre-sidencial” sa panahon ng kanyang pananatili sa Malolosmula 1898 hanggang 1899.

Ang isang pang Bahay Kastila na nabenta na rin ayang lumang bahay ng pamilya Mercado sa BarangayBonga Mayor sa Bustos. Kakaiba ang bahay ng ito dahilsa mga inukit na bato sa paligid partikular na sa mgahaligi at mga biga.

“Isang araw magigising tayo na wala na ang mga an-cestral houses sa Bulacan na bahagi ng ating mayamangsining at kultura,” ani Corpuz.

Ipinaliwanag niya sa Mabuhay na ang isang lumangbahay ay itinuturing na “built heritage” o itinayongpamana sa mga komunidad na kinalalagyan nito.

Bukod sa mga lumang bahay, ang mga lumangistraktura tulad ng mga tulay at mga gusali ay itinuturingna built heritage kung ito ay mahigit 80 taon na at kungmay kahalahagan sa kasaysayan at arkitektura.

“Kailangang kumilos tayo ngayon, dahil hindi namakikita ng susunod na henerasyon ang mayamangpamana sa atin ng nagdaang panahon,” ani Corpuz.

Sa kasalukuyan, inihahanda na ng HCS-Bulacan angmga kapasiyahan na maaring pagbatayan ng mga sang-gunian sa lalawigan para sa pagpapanatili at pag-iingatsa mga “Bahay Kastila” na itinuturing na built heritage.

Ang mga Bahay Kastila sa Bulacan ay karaniwangmakikita sa mga lungsod ng Malolos at Meycauayan, atsa mga bayan ng San Miguel, Bustos, Baliuag, Hagonoy,Calumpit, Paombong, Sta. Maria, Marilao, Bocaue,Guiguinto, Plaridel, Pulilan, Pandi, San Rafael, SanIldefonso at Bulakan.

Kaugnay nito, pinaghahandaan na rin ng HCS-Bulacan at ng Hagonoy Water District (HWD) angpagbibigay parangal sa mga yumaong pintor ng bayanng Hagonoy tulad nina Philip Victor, Mike Danganan,Cenon Rivera, Nap Trono, at Pablo Victoria.

Isasagawa ang parangal sa Disyembre sa pakiki-pagtulungan ng Hagonoy Arts Heritage Committee.

Paggiba sa mga ‘Bahay Kastila’ ikinababahala

mula sa pahina 2lito “Kuya Jon-jon” Mendoza kasama angmga mamamahayag.
