The buses will leave at 8.30am sharp. Dear Parents and School Community, The excitement builds as we prepare for tomorrow’s excursion to Scienceworks and the Planetarium. Please remember that the buses leave at 8:30am sharp and will return at 3:15pm. We are looking forward to these practical learning experiences to enhance the earth science work students are undertaking in their classrooms. Next Friday March 16 is the school’s House Athletics Day. Students rotate through seven athletics disciplines whilst they compete for the House Sports Athletics Perpetual Cup. All students are allocated to a house: Doveton (blue), Clarendon (red) and Armstrong (green) and students may dress in their house colours on this day should they wish to. Some students like to show their colours with some hair spray, hair ties, coloured zinc cream and the like. This is all acceptable remembering that a sun-smart hat is still required. A house list is attached to today’s newsletter for you to check which house your child is in. Parent assistance is greatly appreciated with measuring and recording. If you are able to assist please see your child’s teacher. Parent help is also required for the healthy lunch option that is available on Sports Day. Help with the preparation, serving and cleaning up is necessary for the lunch provision to run smoothly. The preparation takes place in the school ’s kitchen and the serving happens in the undercover area. Let your child’s teacher know if you can help. A salad roll order form has been sent home today with every student. Orders and payment are due in on Wednesday March 14. If you are choosing to order and pay through the Qkr! app please place your orders by midday on that day. The rolls will be made up according to what the students want; they can choose from ham, lettuce, cheese, tomato, carrot and beetroot .
