The old grid in Kl 178291 was re-examined and sampled with several company geologists. However, no agreement was made. The best values obtained in 1997 were 1648 PPB AU &1400 PBM CU.Claim 1178586 has shown good potential along a altered felsic mafic shear complex withquartz-carbonate vein (see work area map & report of physical work).Due to the large area that had to be covered, only rocks with gold or copper potential wereexamined and sampled for assays.

REPORT OF PHYSICAL WORKClaim Kl 178586The work area is in NE 1/4 of the SW 1/4 of claim Kl 17858 at the mouth of the MacFie Creek. The geology of the work area (see map) is a complex of sheared cliffs and slabs raising in stepfashion from the lake shore up. The rocks consist mainly of altered mafic and felsic dikes with aquartz carbonet vein running NE/SW line that has carried some of the best assays. In order to prospect this area more thoroughly, two days were spent striping rocks and bouldersof organic material with M3 power pump at 200 P.S.I, with a 1/2" nozzle. This is an extremelyeffective method to expose rock, particularly if it is on a slope. Un fortunately, the area couldnot be cleared of the dense forest cover and burnt last summer due to fire hazard. Considerablecutting and burning has been carried out this winter providing a much clearer picture of acomplex geology. Also, more explosives have been used to lift some of the mafic slabs in orderto get at the more mineralized altered felsic material that has been producing better assays. (657PPB. AU)As soon as the ground thaws out, more stripping will be carried out with power pumps along thecleared area. The enclosed map (1"=25') was made up by measuring out a center line with stations at 25'intervals.

RESULTS AND RECOMMENDATIONSThe mineralized area along the fault in claim 1178586 has produced consistent results betweenlow and 657 PPB AU. Over a 100' strike. The area is broken up by very large rock slabs making it difficult to trace the "vein".I have requested the services of the Regional Geologists from Kenora and Sioux Lookout toadvise me on further work. I am planning to use more explosives and water pressure to preciselylay out the source of the favorable assays.
