This year we have further enhanced our storm response with a new service that includes a special fleet of carriers with the added benefit of live, web based GPS tracking, providing ‘up to the minute’ shipment status and estimated time of arrival. The feature will reduce the need for non-value added phone calls and emails allowing utilities to concentrate fully on restoring the power.

needs during storm emergencies• Inventory located at warehouses in Chicago,
Birmingham and Memphis• Central locations provide for flexible and fast
freight options• Critical storm products include:
• Automatic splices • Hot line clamps• Wedge clamps• Machine bolts• Washers• Crossarm pins• Zforce® arresters• Fiberglass crossarms• Distribution deadend insulators• Deadend clamps
• MPS is operating under normal business conditions • Minor/isolated storms can occur with isolated outages where local
stock is not available to restore power• Emergency orders are first priority and will ship as needed from
available inventory• Dedicated storm stock or priority production as needed• MPS will contact you if your order is affected by emergency
situation
• MPS is on alert for potential major outages or is currently supporting restoration
• A major storm is threatening or restoration is in progress• Normal shipping and production operations will continue while at
the same time supporting storm orders • If you are in an affected area, contact your local sales agent to
confirm emergency plan• Confirm your orders on MPServiceNet• If you have a routine order with critical delivery, contact your local
agent
• Major storm is in progress or a less severe storm has occurred with isolated outages reported
• MPS will hold shipping products from the Storm Critical Material list • Restoration orders will have first priority on shipping and production • Normal shipping and production operations will continue provided it
does not interfere with restoration orders• MPServiceNet will be updated daily with any changes in non-storm
orders due to emergency restoration activity
• Major storm has occurred with widespread outages• MPS will place all orders on shipping HOLD • All available inventory will be used for restoration orders only• Shipping restoration orders will be the only priority • Normal orders will be re-prioritized when alert level returns to

FreightWhen the storm alert level is or YELLOW, MPS follows the Standard Freight Policy - Zone Shipping with Freight Allowed per our standard policy - unless the customer requests Expedited freight, which will be Freight Prepaid and Billed.
During ORANGE and RED storm alert levels, shipping will be daily, dedicated freight (1 or 2 day delivery, depending on location). Freight will be prepaid and billed. Air Freight will be by request and will be prepaid and billed.
