Calves were purchased as 3 & 4-weights from the local barn and put out on grass. They have been double vaccinated, dewormed twice, and were not implanted. They are moved about every other day and are very docile. They will all be about #1.5 mus-cling and carrying a light grass flesh. A good set of cattle that would work very well on grass.

Calves are predominantly Angus-based with only a few baldies or calves carrying about 1/4 simmental, sired by Angus bulls, sons of Profit, New Day 454, and Impression. Cows were bred and raised on Mr. Sheek’s farm. A few calves were weaned off heifers and young cows and are handfed a little each day (bunk broke). The rest are still on the momma cows. There are 200 calves to make two loads out of (split load is Lot 11). A very nice set of calves that would work well on grass.

Steers have been weaned for 90+ days, double vaccinated, and are bunk broke. Steers were mainly on grass until the last couple of weeks have been fed a TMR. They are predominantly black with 2 reds. A fancy set of steers ready to go to feed.

Heifers were all pur-chased off of one farm in Virginia and brought down to use in a horse cutting project. Heifers are not very fleshy and are carrying just a medium flesh. A very good set of heifers that have been used on horses and are ready to go to feed.

General Information: An excellent set of replacement heifers. There are two smokies and the rest are black/BWF. They are all medium frame and medium flesh with #1 muscling. They are just running on grass and free choice minerals. There is one heifer with about 5” horns curved down.Breeding Information: Heifers were bred to horned Hereford bulls the first 45 days then followed up with An-gus bulls. They have been preg-checked by Rocky Creek Vet Service and are due for August-September calves. They will be re-checked prior to delivery.
