As a Madewell employee, Boston College student and student radio DJ, I recently decided to take advatnage of the opprotunity to organize an ‘Madewell Insider

Event.’

Thus, WZBC, I arranged for Boston College’s highly esteemed idie rock radio station to team team up with Madewell 225 in downtown Boston to host an

awesome event just in time for holiday shopping. Working off the Madewell Fall / Winter marketing ‘Mixwell’ campaign, we decided to throw the “Mixwell Mixer”

and have our best girl DJ’s spinning in-store for the night.

With a cross-channel appraoch, we spread awareness about the event with a Facebook event page that hosted a variety of posters and images which were

trafficked over the weeks leading up to the event. On campus, fliers hung all around and about academic buildings. Additionallty, WZBC DJs helped pass out

invitation stickers throughout the week of the event.

Additionally, a few DJs and myself handpicked a playlist for an exclusive CD to be handed out with the Madwell-supplied gift bags.

Not only did the event set out to drive Boston College customer traffic to the store during the gift giving season, but to also spread on-campus awareness of the radio

station’s presence. A ‘mix’ made in heaven!
