Parents Planner Year: Reception Term 1 People who help us & Monsters This term at home you can help your child: Personal Social and Emotional Development/Physical Development Develop independence e.g. doing own buttons on babi’s, pouring water, taking contact books out of folders, zipping up jackets. Manage their own personal hygiene, e.g. wash hands after the toilet. Resolving problems, e.g. using words to express themselves. Play in pairs or in small groups, choosing activities together and taking turns. Communication and Language/English Speak to others about their interests and needs. Use talk to pretend when playing, e.g. when playing families Share ideas about people that help in school, home and in the wider world. Ask questions about what people do. To confidently share personal news in a small group. e.g. what they did at the weekend Talk about their family, take turns when speaking and listen carefully to others. Contribute ideas in pair, group and class discussion. Mathematics Recognise numerals 1 – 10. Count reliably up to 10 everyday objects, saying one name for each item. Begin to count beyond 10. Use the words ‘more’ and ‘less’ when comparing objects and numbers. Order two or three items according to height. Begin to use mathematical names for 2D shapes. Create and use simple pictograms. Expressive art and Design/Understanding of the World Describe what they are trying to do, e.g. making a model of a monster. Respond to comments and questions about their creations. Express and communicate their ideas in a variety of ways. Choose particular colours to use for a purpose. Learn new songs. Play alongside other children who are engaged in the same role play. Begin to move rhythmically. Tap out rhythms.

Durante este trimestre los podéis ayudar desde casa:Desarrollo social, emocional y psicomotrizAumentar autonomía, por ejemplo. Abrochándose los botonos del babi, sirviéndose agua de la jarra, sacar los contact books de su folder, aborchándose la cremallera.Aprender a asearse, por ejemplo, lavarse las manos después de ir al servicio.Resolución de problemas, por ejemplo, expresándose.Jugar en parejas o grupos pequeños, eligiendo distintas actividades juntos o por turnos.Lenguaje y Comunicación /InglésExpresar a otros sus intereses y necesidades.Expresarse acorde con el papel que desempeñan en un juego, por ejemplo, jugando a familiasCompartir ideas sobre gente que ayuda en el colegio, en casa y en el mundo en general.Hacer preguntas para saber lo que la gente hace.Compartir noticias personales de manera confidencial en pequeños grupos.
