From this magazine front cover I notice there is a main image of a glamorous fashion model. I also notice from the front cover that there is a top line and a masthead which are both contrasting the colour of the models cheeks and is also a feminine colour which aligns itself with the purpose of the magazine. There is also a main cover line which I assume is appropriate to the inside content of the magazine which is used in white which reflects the main image well as it suits Kim's clothing and smile. There is also the magazines website on the front cover for further advertising. The magazine has used a layout of the left side third so that most of the writing covers the left side. There is also a date line and a barcode. There is also a bottom strip which involves pictures which are related to the interesting parts of the magazine The main colour being used is pink which is being picked up from the models cheek makeup which reflects the purpose of the magazine well as its target audience is mainly aimed at women. On the bottom strip there has been a sky blue colour used which could be intentional to the main images background and the colour of the woman's top in the other image on the bottom strip. Some of the writing is on the bottom strip describing the pictures along side it but most of the text is on the left side third which states the main story inside. Look magazine reaches, 55% of all women in the UK, Over half of all mums, 58% of all GenerationYNot! women 40-60 demographic, 1 in 2 of all Super ABs - the high earning AB adults. The model is Kim Kardashian who is one of the most significant faces in the fashion industry which is typical of this magazines brand name.

By looking at this magazine front cover I notice that there is a main image of a current musician in the music industry. There is a masthead, a left side third, a date line and price, a bottom strip, a tag, a barcode and a pug advertising a freebie to catch the readers eye. The main colours that are used on this cover are sky blue and red, perhaps to align itself with the colours of the American flag as the main image is of an American music artist. The blue colour mainly used is picked up from the models nail colour and the red used on the models lips is in direct comparison to the red used in the background of the main image. Some of the writing is used in the left side third, the pug, the bottom strip, the name of the artist and the subheading. NME is a music magazine which targets mainly men aged between 17-30, I know this as this is whom NME aim to target their magazine to. The model in the main image on the cover of this magazine is an up-coming music artist who Is popular in the music industry and as NME stands for new musical express it appeals to people with an interest in new music and artists and/or people in a band.

I notice from this magazine front cover that there is a main image, a masthead, a bottom strip, a tag, a left side third and cover lines. The main three colours used in this cover are black, pink and white. All these colours are presented on the model and in the background colour. The colour in the models lips and cheeks stands out more as a similar colour is used for the background. The writing on this cover is on the left side third, the bottom strip and in the cover lines. The main target audience is women of the age of late 20's early 30's whom enjoy fashion and enjoy reading about it. Kate Moss the British fashion model who the main image is of is a middle aged woman yet still glamorous and one of the most recognised faces of mainly British which is what vogue magazine is trying to portray to its target audience- this comes across by using muted colours as opposed to vibrant colours which would suggest the stereotypical teen magazine. The model- Kate Moss who is modelling in the main image for this British magazine is also British so I notice that she is a key part on this front cover for the purpose of their magazine. The model is wearing natural makeup- perhaps to suggest its target audience in the way that is how its audience may wear their makeup as they are more grown up. British vogue magazine is quoted by readers to be "the fashion bible" so seems necessary to have the main image being Kate Moss as she would be instantly recognised over the world as one of the biggest, if not the biggest fashion icon, therefore is very typical of this brand name to be using this image as she is a clear recognition of what vogue stands for.

From the front cover I notice that there s a main image of a model, a left side third, a bottom strip, cover lines, a date and issue number. The main two colours are black and white. Both of these colours are used on the model and in the text on the cover. The eye makeup used on the model is suited to the black bold text that is presented to the audience. ELLE magazine targets the young woman ages between 16-30 interested in the latest fashion and beauty trends. I can tell from the front cover that this is its target audience as the colours used are sophisticated and the text that is used. Alexa Chung who is one of the latest fashion icons in the industry is modelling for the cover of ELLE which is effective as she is presenting what the magazine is all about. Alexa models beauty products and is a huge lover of fashion which seems appropriate to use her as a model for this cover. The model used is a typical approach to this magazine as she is what would be suited to in terms of her interests.

From this magazine cover I notice that there is a main image, a masthead, a left side third, cover lines and a date and issue number line. The main colours used are black white and red, the model wears black and white so the red text stands out to the reader. The left side third text and the cover lines are in white which matches the models shirt but is behind his black jacket which makes the text stand out. The models features on his face such as his beard are aligned with the colour of the black text which link in with each other. GQ magazine's target audience is sophisticated males aged 25-39 with a desire for style. The model used- David Beckham- resembles the magazines intentions and is a clear representation of what the magazine is about so is typical of the magazine to use this model. David Beckham is a sophisticated man which GQ is using the face of to portray the message of what its all about. Beckham is a stylish man whom the younger male generation look up to so could potentially attract younger readers but is also a role model for men a little younger than his age so is probably one of the best people to model for GQ magazine as it is hitting its target audience.
