Pitch and style sheetIndie and pop
Why I’ve chosen my genre
I love a wide range of music from artists such a Taylor Swift to Bon Jovi, but one genre of music that I really love is indie and indie rock. I love bands such as The Killers and Imagine Dragons. However, the results from my survey show that the majority of people like pop music. I’ve taken this into consideration and decided to an indie pop magazine as many of the bands/artists I listen to also have a bit of a pop feel.
Pitch documentName – IndiePop! Clearly tells the audience the genre of the magazine and what it’s aboutIndication of style/attitude etc. – dark-ish colours, photos from concerts and photo-shootsCost, editions - £1.60 I’ve chosen this price because my research shows people are willing to pay between £1.50-£2, editions will be released weekly thus this keeping the cost down appealing to my audience.Target audience – teenage 14-18Sample article ideas – in the style of magazines such as NME, Q and Spin. The best design suited to my audience is the one from NME magazine because it has a good picture to text ratio which will appeal to my audience.
