in London, UK and has various subsidiaries.• Produces magazines such as ‘NME’ and ‘Uncut.’ NME – Mainstream Uncut- Niche (old rock music)

• Founded in 1947• It is an international British company based in London, UK. Stands for ‘East

Midland Allied Press’ and is privately owned. They mainly focus on business magazines.

Future PLC

• Founded in 1985• It is a public industry and is based in Bath, UK. It publishes more than 150

magazines over a wide range of genres such as technology, gaming, sports and photography.

Who would I choose?

If one were to own my magazine I would choose IPC Media. The reason for this is because they are one of the highest ranking magazine publishers in the industry and would bring a lot of interest to potential audiences. I would not choose for it to be a smaller organisation such as Monkey or Future PLC due to the fact they do not have a very high profile compared to the others even though they are very successful.
