The Grand Hotel, immersed in a park facing the enchanting Lago Maggiore, has a
magnificent view of the Isole Borromee and surrounding Alps. Built in 1861 and wisely
renovated in 1991, its original structure is completely unaltered-where the “ Belle Epoque”
seems never to fade. 128 double bed rooms, 33 single and 11 suites.

Grand Hotel is a modern building directly overlooking the lake. It has 4.500 sqm.

ACTIVITIES
1. Boat tour of the islands (half day)
Cruising the lake by motorboat with the stop to 2 or 3 islands: Isola bella, Isola Madre and
Isola dei Pescatori. The cruise can be made by a brand new Motorboat, the Stresatours, or
also by vintage boat, in a full day, visiting the 3 island, with Piemonte steamboat. Possibility of music on board and lunch on board.
Italian Band. It is composed of 1 singer (man), 1 electronic keyboard, 1 accordion, 1 guitar
or mandolin. It provides for a more typical Italian atmosphere, and it has the plus of
being itinerant, too.

2. Private visit of a noble Castle and wine tasting with
sommelier (half day)
A welcome drink will be offered upon arrival and guests will be welcomed by the
Marquise or a member of his family
The visit will be followed by a wine tasting with a professional English speaking sommelier
and based on 3 different local wines accompanied by the tasting of typical local
products.
Possibility also of lunch/dinner at the close by luxury Palace restaurant (walking distance).

3. Cooking lesson at isola Bella (half day)
In a lovely restaurant of Isola Bella, the grandma will teach you how to prepare the best
tiramisù ! At the end the dessert will be tasted by the participants along with a drink
Possibility of pizza lesson or grappa tasting.
4. Guided visit of Orta lake (half day)
From Maggiore lake the transfer
will be by bus (30 minutes –
about 15/20 kilometres).

Orta lake considered one of
the most romantic of the Italian
lakes.
The area around Lake Orta
boasts quiet beauty, a
fascinating history and wealth
of artistic treasures. Lake Orta
lies to the west of Lake
Maggiore.

5. Excursion to Milan: culture & glamour (full day) Cultural tour in the morning, aperitif in galleria, lunch at Dolce & Gabbana restaurant and
happy hour at Gattopardo.
Only the Excellence in: painting (Cenacolo by Leonardo Da Vinci), architecture (Duomo),
fashion (Italian stylists) music (opera at Teatro alla Scala). The visit is arranged by providing
a guide each 30 people.

2. The Villa
It just few minutes by bus from the Maggiore Lake, is a stunning building with a beautiful
park and very elegant rooms. The service is very high and the quality of food is absolutely
excellent. The Villa can be only rented in exclusive use.
