    o) in my Mini Magic Course series) . little history)I first !ecame aware of magic when my !est friend in unior High showed me a couple ofvery cool 6tric's6 from a small magic set that he received for Christmas) One of the itemsfooled me and then fooled me again and then again% I was totally !lown away) I e0amined the

    props and was simply clueless)

    I thought cool I have to get some of this stuff !ut there simply was no magic shop etc)close to me)I ended up finding a small magic !oo' and spent hours learning the tric's inside !ut they.LL used props as opposed to s'ill) I had to prepare stuff or have some special item ortric'ed up dec' of cards)

    *hen the !rea'through= I found a used copy of the .mateur Magician6s Hand!oo' !y HenryHay and I was in a whole new and wonderful world) I was in fact in the world that I mostwanted to !e in magically) *his classic taught me the !asics of solid sleight-of-handtechniue with cards coins and much more) I was learning how to pic' up a standard normal

    dec' of cards and do miracles) *his was the 6B/.L6 stuff and I was truly in magicheaven)

    4eing a!le to do some 6good6 magic at a moments notice is really more of a mind set thananything else) ust as'ing the uestion is the !est place to start !ecause it ma'es you awareof what is !asically a lac' of preparation for most fol's)

    One of the nice things a!out !eing a!le to do sleight-of-hand with coins small !alls spongethim!les and !illiard !alls is that the s'ill sets you acuire can !e moved laterally to items thatyou are more li'ely to find anywhere and anytime)
