    BIandAnalyticsPlatformCapabilitiesDefinitionTheBIandanalyticsplatformmarketisundergoingafundamentalshift.Duringthepasttenyears,BIplatforminvestmentshavelargelybeeninITledconsolidationandstandardizationprojectsforlargescalesystemsofrecordreporting.Thesehavetendedtobehighlygovernedandcentralized,whereITauthoredproductionreportswerepushedouttoinformabroadarrayofinformationconsumersandanalysts.Now,awiderrangeofbusinessusersaredemandingaccesstointeractivestylesofanalysisandinsightsfromadvancedanalytics,withoutrequiringthemtohaveITordatascienceskills.Asdemandfrombusinessusersforpervasiveaccesstodatadiscoverycapabilitiesgrows,ITwantstodeliveronthisrequirementwithoutsacrificinggovernance.
