Helps to divert glass bottles and containers from entering into our rivers, lakes and landfills.
Our Magnesium-Ceramic binder (the part that hold all of the other materials together) is made from natural, biodegrad-able minerals. These minerals, when water is added, form a gel that subsequently crystallizes to form our Eco-Ceramic.
Although the use of fly ash in building products may seem to be a viable form of recycling, we feel that using a known hazardous material in our luxury architectural product would be just waste disposal masquerading as recycling. The known hazardous chemicals found in fly ash (arsenic, cadmium, barium, lead, mercury, molybdenum, radium, selenium, thorium, uranium, and vanadium) will NOT be a part of our product.

Perfectly Imperfect surfaces. Each and every stage of the process of creating our fine surfaces will have a touch of the human element. The edges of your exquisite EkoStone Surface will not be precisely shaped by a machine. Instead, our edges will have small imperfections as they are skillfully shaped. The polishing will not be accurately controlled by a computer, it will be carefully polished by hand. Small voids and bugholes are purposely left in areas giving each surface it’s own distinctive personality.

Eko has engineered an exclusive material specifically for the manufacturing of luxury architectural products...Magnesium Ceramic. Magnesium Ceramics are formed with the use of non-toxic, all natural raw materials. When water is added, these raw materials form a gel that within minutes starts to crystallize to form our Magnesium Ceramic luxury products. The history of blends of Magnesium based cements were first used through out ancient times. From the Great Wall of China to some of the Stupas in India. The formation of our Magnesium Ceramic material mimics the chemical bonding observed in nature to form mineral rocks, carbonate rocks, and sea shells to name a few.
Magnesium Ceramic is just a better, healthier product for your family. Our Magnesium Ceramic binder is a non-toxic, all natural "cold fired" ceramic. It naturally bonds to anything cellulose (i.e. plant fiber, wood chips, etc.) and should be referred to as a "living cement". Portland Cement (i.e. concrete) repels anything cellulose. We do not use the hazardous chemicals that can be found in concrete products.
Eko Magnesium Ceramic products have a positive charge. Concrete, in contrast, has a negative charge. This is why, over time, concrete will drain a car battery and magnesium ceramic would not. Concrete also has a tendency to drain the energy from the human body. Our Magnesium Ceramic product will not.
Magnesium Ceramic products do not have a tendency to crack/craze over time like concrete prod-ucts will. Our Magnesium Ceramic binder is specifically engineered for manufacturing luxury architectural products.
Our Magnesium ceramics are highly crystalline is structure and concrete products are noncrystal-line. The inter-particle bonds of our Magnesium Ceramic is by covalent and ionic bonds. Con-crete relies on van der Waals forces which are much weaker. Eko Magnesium Ceramic Products are much stronger and less porous than standard concrete products.
