JAMES TOCCO • tue | Sept. 29, 2015James Tocco has a worldwide career as a soloist with orchestra, recitalist, chamber music performer and pedagogue and has toured the globe including solo appearances with major orchestras such as Berlin, Munich, London, Chicago and Los Angeles. The Detroit News describes Tocco in concert: “...intensely concentrated playing, precisely gauged and yet rhythmically fluid, at once virile and poetic.” VASSILIS VARVARESOS • tue | Nov. 10, 2015 In 2014 Vassilis Varvaresos was a prize winner at the 2014 edition of the prestigious George Enescu International Competition in Bucharest. March 2012 marked Mr. Varva-resos’ Carnegie Hall recital debut, to both audience and critical acclaim. Immediately fol-lowing his debut, he was asked to play at the White House for President Barack Obama. ROBERT MCDONALD • tue | Feb. 16, 2016Robert McDonald’s prizes include the gold medal at the Busoni International Piano Com-petition, the top prize at the William Kapell International Competition, and the Deutsche Schallplatten Critics Award. He has appeared with major orchestras in the United States and was the recital partner for many years to Isaac Stern and other distinguished instru-mentalists. A member of the piano faculty at Juilliard since 1999, Mr. McDonald joined the faculty of the Curtis Institute of Music in 2007.

Married duo Soroka and Greene have toured and recorded extensively. Their Naxos recording of Four Violin Sonatas by William Bolcom was selected as a Recording of the Month with the highest ranking for both artistry and sound quality by Classics Today, and received praising reviews in distinguished journals, such as Gramophone and The Strad.
Distinguished members of the Pittsburgh Symphony Marta Krechkovsky and Randolph Kelly join forces with world-renowned College of Charleston faculty members Natalia Khoma and Volodymyr Vynnytsky for a program of Romantic works.
In this all-Beethoven concert, Anna Rabinova guest stars. This accomplished violinist is the winner of the 16th International Violin Competition in Belgrade, the Bach International Com-petition in Leipzig, Germany, and the 1993 Concerto Competition at The Juilliard School.

CofC Orchestra
Under the direction of voice faculty members David Templeton and Amanda Castel-lone, talented vocal students present opera productions and musical revues.
Conducted by Dr. Robert Taylor, Director of Choral Activities at the College, the Concert Choir is one of the most decorated collegiate choirs in the nation. It has performed for three national choral conventions and two regional conventions, and also has collabo-rated with Symphony Orchestras in Charleston and in Hilton Head.
