  • Fall 2018 Recycle Drive The event first began the large effort from the State to remove bulky waste items from all over the airport grounds and ended with waste collection on Wednesday October 24th at a new location off Elliot Street. The contractor was generous enough to unlock the gate and allow us to use their jobsite for recycling staging. The team efficiently collected furniture, appliances, papers, plastics, and other waste items. Special thanks go out to the DOT-A Oahu District Maintenance Baseyard team who brought 6 staff and a forklift to the event to help unload the waste. Additional thanks go to the hauler Honolulu Disposal Service, who brought 3 roll-off waste bins and hauled the waste away, leaving the airport cleaner than before.
