1 Chancellor’s Message The University encompasses research oriented faculty from Ivy league colleges of the country, well equipped labs and workshops; library stacked with latest books, national and international journals; e-resources with paradigm infrastructure; which provide an eventual centre of excellence for professional education. The University has fervently put sprawling efforts in keeping pace with the changing trends in education system. Established in YEAR 2010, M.M.U.     CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES Envisioned with the aim to produce professionals endowed with absolute acquaintance in their domain, MMU Sadopur –Ambala has been fervent enough in organizing talks by experts from assorted organizations/industries. Some of these are explicated below:- Guest Lecture on “Different Techniques of Analysis (10th November, 2017)

    The Department of Applied Science & Humanities organized a guest lecture on “Different Techniques of Analysis” by Prof. (Dr.) Sushil Kumar Mittal from Thapar University on 10th November, 2017 to escalate cognizance of the students in domain of techniques of analysis for efficacious research practices.

    Guest Lecture on Osteoporosis (27th October, 2017)

    MM School of Pharmacy organized a guest

    lecture on the topic “Osteoporosis” on 27th

    October, 2017 by Dr. Ashok Sarwal, a

    prominent Orthopedic Surgeon and owner of

    Sarwal Hospital, Ambala City, Haryana to

    educate students on domain of etiology,

    pathophysiology and methods of treatment for

    osteoporosis.

    Guest Lecture on Fire-fighting Norms in Buildings (17th October, 2017) MM School of Architecture organized a Guest lecture on “Fire fighting Norms in Buildings” on 17th November, 2017 to spread awareness on various design considerations for efficient and safe design of building as per fire safety norms. The lecture was delivered by venerated architect, Ar. Surinder Bahga from Chandigarh. He talked about the implementation of National Building code (NBC) norms and building bye laws for fire safety.

    ICT Based Short Term Programme on Preparing Students’ for Job Interview Training (15th September, 2017) On the occasion of Engineers day celebration, an “ICT based Student Training on Preparing students’ for job interview” was organized by the CSE department on 15th September, 2017, in collaboration with NITTTR, Chandigarh. The inclination of workshop was towards guiding the students on techniques pertaining to facing job interview.

    Sensitization Programme on IPR & Patents (15th September, 2017)

    MM School of Pharmacy organized a seminar on “Sensitization Programme on Intellectual Property Rights & Patents” (IPRs) for Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) on 15th September, 2017 to create awareness about beneficial aspects of patenting novel ideas and inventions. It was jointly organized by Intellectual Property Facilitation Centre for MSMEs (Haryana)-Haryana State Pharmacy Council of Science and Technology in association with Ambala Scientific Instruments Manufacturer's Association (ASIMA) and Haryana Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Distt. Unit Ambala).

    CO-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES

    Technical Project Exhibition cum Competition (24th November, 2017) The department of ME organized a “Technical Project Exhibition cum Competition” on 24th November, 2017 for final year students as a part of their training/project work. Two best projects, namely, Brush Cutter and Automatic Floor Cleaner were declared as best projects on the basis of practical implementation, design and safety parameters by an expert committee of Mechanical Engineers.

    Essay Writing Competition (4th September, 2017) An “Essay Writing Competition” was organized by the Management Department on 4th September, 2017. The students of the department keenly participated in the event and exhibited good writing skills. The event was oriented towards grooming soft skills of the students. Navjot Kaur (B.com-I) and Tarun Kumar( MBA-III) won the Ist and IInd positions respectively.

    INDUSTRIAL VISITS

    Industrial Visit to Bhakra Dam and Virasat-e-Khalsa (10th October, 2017) One day educational trip was organized by the CE Department on 10th October, 2017 to “BhakraDam, Bilaspur (H.P) and Virasat-e-Khalsa, Anandpur Sahib (Punjab)” to acquaint students with the operational principles of the terminologies encountered in books/ research papers.

    Industrial Visit to Polyclinic at Ambala As a part of social awareness campaign, students of CE Department were taken to “Polyclinic”, Sector-10 Ambala, on 10th September, 2017 where doctors briefed them on causes and preventions of water borne diseases. The drive was focussed on adopting measures that can lead to a healthy lifestyle by creating and spreading awareness about the diseases that occur via consumption of water.

    Extension Lectures & Activities

    Live telecast of Hon’ble PM Modi’s address to students (11th September, 2017) Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed students across the nation on 11th September, 2017 from Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi via Live Telecast to mark the centenary celebration of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya and 125 years of Swami Vivekananda's address at the Chicago World Parliament of Religions, U.S.A. The theme of the address was Young India New India - A Resurgent Nation: From Sankalp to Siddhi. Students from various departments attended the address.

    Tree Plantation Drive (27th July, 2017) MM School of Architecture organized a “Tree Plantation Drive” in university on 27th July, 2017 in collaboration with Department of Forests, Ambala to spread message Grow Trees & Save Environment. Bearing in mind the consequences of escalating global warming, saplings of various trees were planted.

    SPIC MACAY Kathak Dance performance by Ms. Malti Shyam (14th November, 2017) The Society for the Promotion of Indian Classical Music and Culture Amongst Youth organized “Kathak Dance” by renowned Kathak Dancer. Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor, Dr. Harish Sharma, in his welcome address applauded the efforts of SPIC MACAY in instilling our rich cultural values among the youth. The dance performance with different music tones and rhythmic levels left the audience spellbound.
