Romania
The Easter Holiday being over, we started making preparations for the
reunion in Lithuania: the school presentation, the presentation of a formal
activity and a non-formal one, for the exchange of good practices between
partners.
The participants prepared the essays they had won the selection contest with,
for the conference that was to take place in Lithuania.
Between 15th/21
st/05/2016, two two training/teaching/learning activities took
place in Taurage, Lithuania, within the Strategic Partnership Project,
(Erasmus Programme – ACEAFNE):
- Short-term exchanges between groups of students, aimed at the
students.
- Common short-term teacher training events, aimed at the teachers.
Our school was represented by prof. Zepisi Simona, project coordinator at
school and partnership level, prof. Cirstea Nicoleta, prof. Rafira Anca and the
students: Erculescu Teodora (8th grade), Sivache Alessandra, Roman Oana (7
th
grade), Mierloiu Anca (11th
grade).
There were various and instructive activities implemented for the students,
ICT activities for the teachers, exchanges of good practices, which raised the
students’ awareness of environmental issues and initiated the teachers in
employing ICT within any of the core curriculum subjects.
At the end of May and beginning of June, we organized contests within
Recycling Week.
We collected:
- Approximately a ton of waste paper, with classes 7thA and 10thB as
winners
- Approximately 90 kg. of PETs, with class 7thA as the winner
- Approximately 220 batteries, with class 7thA as the winner
- Aluminium cans.
On the 31st of May, there was a new meeting of the students from the target
group with representatives of the Local Authority in Environmental
Protection, Dambovita. The topics we approached were:
- The selective collection of waste products
- “Go Wild for Life” – a topic dedicated in 2016 to The world Day of the
Environment.
On the same day, the students who had participated in the reunion in
Lithuania, gave a presentation of the activities carried out in Lithuania,
sharing their impressions.
On the 9th/10th of June, we had a training session given by the teacher-
participants in Lithuania. The training was organised and coordinated by
prof. Anca Rafira, helped along by the other teachers who participated in
Lithuania.

We participated in the trip to Lithuania and presented it in the whole school
assembly.
We finished the questionnaires for intermediary report.
We made an exhibition about Erasmus+ partners in the library.
We wrote an article about Lithuania Exchange into school magazine.
We implemented newly learned IT skills in the lessons.

Cabrini was awarded for the ability to synthesize in an image deep meanings of
hope and redemption, the dream of a new city. Present and future coexist in the
same space. A new Taranto appears, the mirror of a future that is waiting to be
realized. The picture is full of symbolic meanings: the future is in our hands ,
people decide their own destiny.

Integrated Biology lesson. Work(project)in groups. Students prepared

Students (primary classes) visited windmills and talked how they work and

lake.

Portugal

Planning the trip to Tauragė, Lithuania, where the third short-term took
place.
Creating a presentation about our school and one about the impact of
pollution in people’s health. They were shown during the short-term
exchange of pupils held in Lithuania.
Formal activity: Calculating the level of environmental awareness of 12th
graders at Escola Secundária de Casquilhos.
Formal activity: “Urban Narratives” - Creation of a wall panel made of
recycled materials portraying some landscapes of our town.
Formal activity: Raising awareness of domestic violence: creation of a wall
panel influenced by the work of the Ghanaian artist El Anatsui, as well as
wedding dresses. They were both made of recycled materials.
