Fast as lightning with a relaxed posture: The bolt handle is located in an

ergonomically perfect position just above the trigger guard. Rifle and eye

remain focused on the target giving more time to aim exactly and ensure

a perfect shot.

Easy and fast: The magazine buttons can be operated “blindly” due to

their perfect positioning above the trigger. When pushing both buttons at

T H E U LT I M AT E S A F E T Y S Y S T E M

For the past decades Blaser's manual cocking system has set the bench-

mark. It is acknowledged as one of the safest worldwide. There is no

mechanical safety system that guarantees the safety of an uncocked firing

spring. The rifle is cocked the very moment before shooting. Should the

shot not be taken, by simply pressing down on the cocking lever, the lever

will slide back smoothly. Once again the firing pin spring is uncocked.

P R O T E C T I O N A G A I N S T M I S U S E

If the R8 magazine with integrated trigger guard is taken out, the cocking

lever can not be set in cocked position. In any case, this is the safest pro-

tection against unauthorized use!

Blaser single shot rifles and combined rifles: The tilting block or

vertical block can be removed in just two movements. Storing the

block seperately disables the rifle and prevents unauthorized use.

A U T O M AT I C D E C O C K I N G

Removing the R8 magazine unit automatically unlocks the cocking lever,

so that it can slide back in its decocked position. This is an important

safety feature should a cartridge be left in the barrel. Blaser single shot

rifles and combination guns: When opening the rifle the lock or locks are

automatically decocked. Thus the risk of triggering a shot unintentionally

is minimized.

N O U N I N T E N T I O N A L B O LT O P E N I N G ( R 8 )

Once it is locked, it stays locked: If the R8 is decocked with a locked bolt,

the bolt handle is blocked. To safely open the bolt, the cocking lever needs

to be pushed forward approximately 3 mm / 1.8" while simultaneously

pulling back on the bolt handle. This slight movement does not cock the

rifle.

Even when in the bush, Blaser hunting rifles can be taken down and

reassembled within a few seconds. Snow, dirt, leaves or needles are easily

removed.

The R8 magazine is only released when simultaneously pressing both

release buttons. Unintentional drop out of the magazine is virtually

impossible. In addition, both release buttons can be locked by a lever in-

side the magazine. This is the most effective protection against magazine

loss.

E X C E L L E N T P R O T E C T I O N

All metal parts of Blaser hunting rifles are either made of rustproof

material or protected against corrosion with a specific finish. Barrel in-

side and chamber are polished and need conventional care. The closed

construction of the R8 receiver prevents foreign object damage. When

the magazine is stored outside the rifle, a protective cover will keep the

dirt out.

The trigger system of the R8 is force-controlled. Cycling the receiver

scope and illuminated dot sight that is zeroed to the barrel can be inter-

Quickest target acquisition when shooting at short distances and in dense

undergrowth: The white contrast line in the sights and the white front

sight are always easy to recognize, even in poor lighting conditions. The

open sights are made of steel and thus durable. They also harmonically

match the R8's contour.

Calm composure is a vital key to accuracy. An increased barrel weight provides stability when the rifle is mounted and therefore enhances surety of a successful shot – even over long di-stances.

Extensive test shooting gives evidence that Semi Weight barrels reliably improve shooting perfor-mance. Even when the rifle is not resting on an optimal surface or when shooting free-hand, a medium-heavy barrel stabilizes the rifle. Recoil is decreased considerably and muzzle movement is minimized bestowing inner confidence.

IBS: the quickest way from the thought impulse to hitting the target

B L A S E R F 3 T R I G G E R

Within a split second the F3-trigger turns your thought impulse into ig ni-

ting mechanics. It breaks crisp as glass at 1,400 grams with an extremely

short travel. Thus the F3 offers you the best conditions to achieve the ideal

forward allowance without any delay and tap your full potential. The bar-

rel selector is located right in front of the trigger in a convenient position.

The purely mechanical, selective single trigger function is independent

from recoil. The trigger blade allows stepless adjustment in length. It is

positioned exactly in the shooting fingers direction of force. The finger

automatically takes on the right angle for precisely pulling the trigger.

B L A S E R I B S ®: A N T I - D O U B L E - S Y S T E M

The Inertial Block System reliably prevents fan firing, which means that the

unintentional firing of a second shot is virtually impossible. Many conven-

tional single trigger functions interfere with the ideal trigger pull. Thanks

to IBS® the F3 trigger combines the highest possible safety with the best

possible trigger characteristics.

The balancer system allows for individual adjustment of the F3‘s weight distribution. It consists of the stock balancer with two weight cylinders and the barrel balancer.

B L A S E R B A L A N C E R

When you are swinging and the barrel points exactly where your eye

focuses, you can be sure that the weight distribution of your shotgun is

perfectly adjusted to your needs. To achieve the ideal performance the

bulk should lie right between your hands and the overall weight distribu-

tion should be fine-tuned to the balance that feels best for you. Two F3

features make sure that the balance of your F3 meets your personal prefe-

rences: the balancer and the deep position of the centre bores. The Blaser

balancer system not only allows the adjustment of weight distribution to

your personal needs, but also to your shooting style: Swing-Through, Pull-

Away, Sustained-Lead or Move-Mount-Shoot.

The Blaser balancer system consists of two components: the stock balan-

cer and the barrel balancer. The stock balancer is a threaded rod that can

be equipped with one or two weight cylinders.

The stock balancer allows you to increase the total weight up to

170 grams.

Three construction characteristics collude to provide an optimized muzzle

velocity, a homogenous shot pattern and a moderate recoil.

• Innovative, extremely flat forcing cone with an angle of 2.5°. The shot

E B S ®: T H E I N N O VAT I V E E J E C T I O N S Y S T E M

To some extent whether the shot will be successful or not is decided even

before mounting. Smooth movements, controlled by intuition and pre-

cise mechanical operations are the winning formula. The process starts

with closing the shotgun. Conventional ejector systems cock their ejector

springs when the gun is closed. Having to overcome this resistance inter-

feres with the smooth flow of your movements and your concentration.

The EBS® system activates the ejectors when the shot is fired and cocks

them when opening the gun. The ejector springs are always decocked

when storing the gun, so that spring fatigue is prevented. The resistance

when closing the gun is always kept at a minimum, whether the ejectors

have been activated or not.

The extremely soft closing of the barrels helps you to focus your concen-

tration on nothing else but the shot.

The Blaser Saddle Mount revolutionized the connection of rifle and rifle scope. Once zeroed,

the scope can be removed and returned with minimum effort and remains zeroed. Without

any problem different rifle scopes can be mounted on one barrel.

Four inconspicuous notches on the barrel, situated at the level of the chamber, hold the

one-piece base tension-free. This allows the barrel to float completeley free. No further

adjustments on the rifle are necessary and there is no annoying mount swivel.

Every Blaser hunting rifle is prepared for the Saddle Mount.

bullet with constantly good expansion qualities and – at the same time – improved ballistics.

Based on this experience, Blaser has developed an entirely new copper bullet. The Blaser

CDC (Controlled Deformation Copper) bullet combines all desired qualities in an optimal

way, such as excellent accuracy and superior knock-down effect. CDC is specifically adjusted

for light to medium game, meeting the needs of hunters in Central Europe perfectly. CDC

is designed and field-tested by Blaser. In order to ensure the highest quality possible, CDC

The weight of the Blaser CDC bullet has been only slightly reduced, compared to other

“lead-free” products. This has been done deliberately, ensuring CDC’s excellent controlled

bullet performance over a wide range both of distance and velocity. Because of their higher

weight, CDC bullets achieve a maximum length securing an outstanding penetration and

terminal stability.

The CDC’s bullet tip reacts immediately on impact due to its special design consisting of

an innovative expansion cavern, pressure grooves and a polymer tip. On penetration, CDC

forms four separate petals, avoiding fragmentation detrimental to the game.

Thanks to its abundant mass the CDC projectile provides constantly good deformation characteristics over a large range of distances.

The .300 Blaser Magnum generates its energy with 10.7 to 11.7 grams bullets out of a 64.2 mm cartridge case and is the all-round cartridge for lightweight to medium-heavy game.

As a result of the controlled deformation process the CDP projectile ensures a high shock

effect and large penetration force while its weight remains virtually the same. Despite its

relatively low weight the CDP bullet causes the desired exit wound, preserving the game

to the highest extent possible. Upon impact, the CDP bullet mushrooms symmetrically

in four directions. Regardless of varying velocity and target resistance the deformation

process always remains controlled. When mushrooming, the diameter of the bullet

multiplies by 2.5 of its original caliber. This effect has been achieved by accurate calculation

of the bullet components and their behavior during the shot.

Extensive testing with a few hundred shootings showed the following results:• in 78 % of shootings, fleeing distances

measured from zero to less than 20 meters

• in 94 % of shootings very low meat damage was reported.

The tip of the projectile consists of soft, dynamically reacting alloy.

Four internal longitudinal grooves, offset by 90°, control the symmetrical deformation process.

The increasing thickness of the sleeve towards the rear supports the controlled expansion.

The V-shaped, closed bridge is robust yet flexible. The forces that affect the projectile in the barrel are absorbed to a large extent. The bridge reliably protects the projectile against decomposition. It provides the optimal interior ballistic ally.
