Over 110 delegates from 30 member states, gas companies and international organizations were present
The reports indicated that:
there remained tensions in gas supply and demand in 2009in certain countries there was stabilization or even increase in gas demand and investments in gas industrythe use of gas on transport is promoted in frames of the «Blue corridor»project
Decisions:
to enhance cooperation in the analysis of the gas market development
to cooperate more closely with International NGV Association for furthe development of use of gas on transport
to thank the companies, governmental and international organizations for the reports and information provided

AD HOC GROUP OF EXPERTS ON SUPPLY AND USE OF GAS

Directions of activities:
gas distribution network management
technical standards and norms for creation and usage of fuel stations for motor vehicles utilizing natural gas as engine fuel
diagnostics of gas transportation networks and risk management
analysis of methods for leakage prevention in course of industrial usage of gas
study on energy safety
Results:
questionnaires have been developed
analysis of the replies of experts about the consequences of gas crisis in Europe in January 2009 has been performed

PROPOSALS TO THE WPG PROGRAM OF WORK IN 2011
Overview of proposals from the UNECE member states on the formation of the new legal base for international cooperation inenergy sphere (in gas sphere)
Organise the implementation of the WPG Program of work for 2010-2013, adopted at the 20th WPG Session
WPG to prepare proposals to the UNECE Secretariat on mechanisms of financial support of the Studies, in particular onfinancial participation of the interested member states and international organizations
