Teacher Feedback

I personally like being able to write my own comments so that I can tailor them to each student. I also like that the parents can see the growth that their child is making as we go back and reteach areas…

As a teacher, I find it so much easier to keep track of and give grades based on individual standards rather than an overall subject grade. I am able to communicate more effectively with parents about how their child is doing in every part of their day. I love that I am able to write personalized comments to my parents and include the things I feel are most important for them to know.

Parent FeedbackI personally love the detailed report cards Kindergarteners receive this year… I think the new report cards allows parents to comprehend and see what the kids are learning … their strengths and weaknesses, and where they stand for that quarter. You get the opportunity to either work harder with your child on an area they may need extra help with and also praise them in areas they are advanced in.

I wanted to let you know how much I am loving the Kindergartner's report card this year. With my son’s report card last year, I could see that he was struggling in certain subjects, but it didn't show me where he was struggling. So I would have to contact his teacher and really dig deep to figure out where in the subject he was struggling… I think this was a smart decision in piloting this report card!!
