    GREETINGS FOR A BOUNTIFUL 2016

The New Year ushers in new beginnings, fresh starts, resolutions for meaningful changes, reafrmations of abetter life and promises for a brighter future. These are theusual connotations attributed to a transition to anotheryear added to our lives. It pays to take note that indeed,we should be optimistically looking forward to another365 days that should signicantly surpass the outcome of

    the days past.

I am one with all Marikeos in wishing for a better yearahead. I therefore call for greater unity of purpose andunanimity in aspirations, and invoke the help of Divine

Providence towards achieving our dreams for a moreresilient, progressive, greener and more inclusive city.I believe the fundamentals are in place; we just haveto build on them with all stakeholders actively andcommittedly participating.

Surely, there are huge challenges ahead but substantialopportunities likewise abound. We were steadfast anddriven in pushing our people-oriented agship programs

and development agenda. In all humility, I believe thereare substantial gains and that we are on the right track, yet we need to do more. This is where our direction must

be focused continuity of what we started, persistence ofefforts already gaining traction thus requiring more timeand shared endeavors to gain more grounds.

I believe we have an environment more conduciveto projects and programs now deeply rooted in fertilegrounds. Let us all act more purposely, forge more jointundertakings, move more vigorously and collectively aspireto achieve far greater returns in 2016 onwards.

As they say, on the road to success, the rule is to alwayslook ahead, infused with clarity of purpose and imbuedwith unrestrained positivity. As we journey together, through thick and thin, we must be rm in our resolve to

reach our destination -- a prosperous Marikina we all loveand care for.
