Welcome I am delighted that you might be thinking of Chatsworth as a venue for your wedding. We hope that you agree that Chatsworth makes an exceptional location for civil wedding ceremonies and wedding receptions. Chatsworth has a long history of hospitality and entertaining, as the house has been open to visitors ever since it was built. It has been the home of the Cavendish family for more than 450 years. The house contains one of the most important private art collections in the world.

The garden contains the Cascade, built in 1698, and spectacular fountains and waterworks. There are giant rockeries, rose, kitchen and sensory gardens, a maze and five miles of walks among interesting shrubs and unusual trees.

Our wedding ceremonies and receptions are held in beautiful rooms in the famous stable block designed in 1758 by James Paine. All the rooms are decorated with paintings and other works of art from the Chatsworth Collection.

We would be happy to organise your wedding celebrations for you and make it a very special day that you will always remember.

Set within 1,800 acres of beautiful parkland, Chatsworth is a truly elegant wedding venue. We understand that every couple has differing ideas when it comes to the perfect place to say ‘I do’ and have designed a range of packages to create a special day, whatever your budget and style.

The Hartington room has retained its traditional features making for a unique ceremony room for up to 90 guests.

The Racing room, originally the tack room, boasts selected paintings from the Devonshire Collection and is perfect for more intimate occasions.

Whatever the weather, whatever the season Chatsworth provides the perfect backdrop for your day. From the acres of parkland across the estate to the beautifully maintained garden you are bound to find your ideal spot for those all important photos and memories that last a lifetime.

Our highly talented chefs and bakers prepare all our food onsite using locally sourced produce where possible, we offer a range of dishes to suit your taste and style. We are able to cater for any dietary requirements your guests may have and can advise on specific dishes.

Choose from a selection of seasonal drinks to accompany an array of delicious handmade canapés while you celebrate with family and friends in the spacious courtyard.

Raise a glass

The bright and welcoming Hartington room can also be used for wedding breakfasts and offers a complete blank canvas for you to design the perfect setting for your guests.

The Burlington room, named after the 3rd Earl of Burlington is stylishly decorated creating an ideal space for smaller wedding parties of up to 56 guests.

The recently renovated Carriage House combines grandeur and elegance while retaining a modern and relaxed feel, making it the perfect choice for a wedding breakfast for up to 130 guests and evening receptions of up to 200 guests.

Dine in style

While you dance the night away your guests can enjoy sumptuous evening light bites served in the majestic surroundings of the Cavendish or Carriage House.

Chatsworth are delighted to offer the services of our experienced in-house floristry team who are on hand to offer inspiration, expert advice and to help bring your ideas to life.

Chatsworth’s grounds are full of beautiful flowers and foliage. There is also over an acre of dedicated growing space within our beautiful kitchen garden where our expert gardeners grow a wide variety of flowers and foliage for use in the house, weddings and events.

We are passionate about sourcing as many of your flowers as possible from the garden ensuring they are fresh, in season and of the highest quality. Our estate grown flowers are only available at Chatsworth.

The Chatsworth weddings team works closely with every couple to make sure dreams are turned into a reality. Years of experience, combined with attention to detail and a warm and friendly approach, mean you are in safe hands when planning your big day.

Save the date We are able to reserve your chosen date for two weeks giving you the opportunity to contact the Bakewell Registry office or chosen church. After this time, and if you wish to book your day with us, then a deposit will be required to secure your date here at Chatsworth.
