As a charity you create your project page. This Guide talks you through how to create your project page.

Introducing HELP – MAKE – CHANGE

Text describing the problem. I.e. the people who need to be Helped.

Text describing the proposed solution. I.e. this is what the charity will do through this project. You tell us your project’s

Who are you helping?

• Describe the need in terms of why the project is needed, why they need help. This could be for example urgent need of clean water in Kenya

• Should start with “Help” e.g. Help homeless people in central London

• This section will be shown as “HELP” for the public

A project can cover various causes –tick as many boxes you think is suitable

What is your solution to the problem; e.g. build a shelter, open up a medical centre

What activities it requires, the first sentence should start with “Make” e.g. Make a community centre for women

Will be shown as “Make” for the public

Where is the money going?

Budget items shows how the money raised are going to be spendFor building a school this could be equipment, staff time, education materials, classrooms, school bus etc.

Assign colleagues to your project

As a Charity Users, you can either be an Editor or and Reporter. Reporters can be for example more Junior Staff that can write drafts, but they need to be approved from an Editor.

• An editor can make changes to the project without approval• A reporter would need approval from a editor before the

changes are shown to the public

• If you press Charity Dashboard in the top right corner you can review the charities and project that you are an editor or reporter of

• If a team-member has requested to join the charity you can approve them under Approvals

Turn on Stripe so you can receive donations

• Make sure you register the bank details where you want the donations to with Stripe. • Your charity will not be visible on the website until it’s done.

Publish project updates

• While you are starting to receive donations, it is important that you occasionally write updates how the project is going

• In the update you write what the donations have helped with so far, the progress of the project and potentially change made

• The Makerble donors value transparency a lot so try to be clear with showing where their funds have been going

• Users- Everybody on Makerble has a user account and an individual profile. They can use this to follow other users, comment on content and make donations.- Users that work for a charity can be given permission to manage their Charity Page (similar to

how a user on Facebook can be given permission to manage a Facebook Fan Page).

Users that work for a charity can be a • Reporter – permission to write Project Updates and edit Project Information• Editor – permission to approve Project Updates

• Charity PagesCharity Pages are managed by users with special permission. These users are staff at those charities.

• ProjectsProjects are created by Charity Pages and are linked to the Charity Page. (Similar to how Events can be created by Facebook Pages)All projects are displayed using our unique “Help, Make, Change” format
