We all know that it’s the people who are part of the Institute that make it what it is. There’s a very large group – more than 200 people every year - that do a wide range of volunteer roles on networks, committees, and providing expertise. Some put in an incredible number of hours. Even though we know that service is its own reward, we felt we needed to do more to acknowledge this group, and not everyone gets to be a life member, so we recently created the AIHS Service Award, to acknowledge many years’ service to committees and branches especially. Our two very first winners of the AIHS Service Award are Queenslanders Peter Lupschen who spent many years running the Brisbane Regional Member Network, and Jenny Goss who has worked tirelessly for many years as a key leader of the Visions Conference team. Thanks Peter and Jenny and congratulations. Have a great week. David Clarke, CEO
