Happy Weekend
Bethel Lutheran Church!
This weekend we resume “live in sanctuary” worship services. We are not to the place where we will be offering the Lord’s Supper yet, but at least we will be gathering!
When you arrive at Bethel, you may park where you wish. Please pay close attention to the doors where the greeters are working, as we will only be using some doors for entrance and others for exit.
All our worship services seating will be managed very closely. You may choose to worship upstairs or down, but an usher will seat you as you arrive.
Bethel volunteers will be following our State’s protocols, including having their temps taken as

they arrive and wearing masks while they serve. If you choose to wear a mask during worship you are welcome to bring your own to wear.
On Saturday at 2:30 pm we will hold a special service for those who are at high risk for serious illness. We will be taking extra precautions at this service, including adding distance between family groups. This service will be a Classical Lutheran service with organ music.
The remainder of our weekend’s worship services will be at their normal times and styles. 5 pm on Saturday, 8:30 am on Sunday, and 11:15 am on Sunday.
A few extra notes:
• We will continue to have Sunday School and Bible class on line only until the beginning of August.
• We cannot, at this time, offer our professional nursery services.
• And so you have something to look forward to, we have a number of upcoming baptisms and a good number of our confirmation students who will be confirmed in June.
Finally, we are back together. I know that I speak for Pastor Eden and Director Bellach, we are very excited to see you coming back to God’s house!

Virtual Baby Bottle Boomerang
We want everyone's life to be safe, happy, and healthy - especially during times like these. So this year's Baby Bottle Boomerang campaign has moved online!

Vacation Bible School VBS will be offered in a virtual manner this year. We will be creating resource bags for our Preschool –
Kindergarten and bags for first through fifth grade. We will have some online content to help assist families in leading crafts and games with their children. These items will be made available in June. Though we are unable to meet in person you may find other ways, as you are comfortable, to make VBS special for your child. If you are willing to assist with putting bags together please contact DCE Jeff.
We are looking into Developing Small
Groups. We would see this as an opportunity for
increasing fellowship and discussion with one another. I will be sending out an e-mail seeking some people who would like to lead a group discussion. Discussion content could be questions developed from Sunday Bible Class or a small group study. We are hopeful that gathering around the Word of God together will strengthen us in these times while we are separated. I have been asked a few times, “What can we do?” If you are interested in any of these options please contact DCE Jeff.
• If you would like to be a small group leader
• If you would like to be a tech organizer for small groups, like running a zoom meeting.
• If you are interested in being a substitute for teacher for one of our zoom Sunday School Classes.
• If you would like to help organize our small groups.
• If you have a desire to be a contact person sharing resources for Bible Studies. May our Lord Jesus Christ continue to strengthen and encourage us. Christ’s Peace, ~jeff~ [email protected]

Dear Fellow Servants of Jesus, As we move toward the celebration of Pentecost Day, we remember Jesus' words to His disciples before He was lifted up into heaven: "It is not for you to know times or seasons that the Father has fixed by his own authority. But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth." (Acts 1:7-8) We're not in the business of figuring everything out, but we are positioned by our Father in heaven to trust Him and to bear witness to the risen Son. "You WILL BE my witnesses," Jesus said. It's a fact (future indicative) that is true for all times and seasons - even for this season. The gracious truth from our Savior for all seasons of history and for our very lives is: God's got this!
