Methodology
• Employs Ion Mobility Spectrometry (IMS)
• ISCAN Detector operating software analyzes the peaks of received range of inspected substances, using mathematical expectation (assembly average) and time dispersion, corresponding to peaks with target substances taken from the systems’ library.
• Combined sampling apparatus allowing both sampling of air containing vapours and suspended particulate matter and sampling of particles collected on a special sampling wipe.

Explosives and Narcotics Trace Detector
• Works on the basis of a chemical reaction instead of electronic search
• More reliable, cheaper, effective and user friendly compared to electronic machines
• Large areas such as rooms, containers, cars etc can be search-sniffed in a few seconds
How it works:
1) A glue coated disposable sampling probe is exposed to air flow forced by a vacuum
generator.
1) Once the particles are collected, it is exposed to chemical reagents that visibly change
colour in response to a reaction between the reagent and particles of interest.
