The sound of a jetliner landing is heard as words appear over the image of a beautiful sky.

“Malaysia flight 370 flew off into the night on March 8 2014. The plane, it’s passengers and crew have never been heard from again. 28 countries mounted the largest search in aviation history and no trace of the plane has ever been found. No evidence has ever been uncovered to explain what happened, leaving hundreds of grieving families and the world searching for answers...until now”

INT. PILOT’S LOUNGE - KUALA LUMPUR INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT - MIDNIGHT

12:00 AM

A veteran pilot with Captains bars on his collar sits in the pilots lounge of the airport taking drags from his cigarette and sipping coffee from a paper cup. He looks uncomfortable, he closes his eyes and lets his head slump over the back of the chair. Flight Attendant #1(older woman) approaches him pulling a small piece of luggage. She gently taps his foot with hers, irritated, he lifts his head.

FLIGHT ATTENDANT #1Good morning Captain.

CAPTAINGood morning, good night, it’s too early and too late.

FLIGHT ATTENDANT #1Your a little grumpy.

CAPTAINHeartburn, third time this week.

The Captain stands up and stretches.

CAPTAINWho are we flying with tonight?

The flight attendant checks her clip board and gives an uncomfortable grin.

FLIGHT ATTENDANT #1The kid.

The Captain sighs, he doesn’t like flying with the inexperienced pilot.

CAPTAINGreat, preschool all night. I feel like I’m teaching a course in aviation. “May I take the controls Captain?” “May I sign out with the tower Captain?”

FLIGHT ATTENDANT #1You were a young and enthusiastic pilot once yourself.

CAPTAINI was never that young... or enthusiastic.

The pilot grabs his brief case and he and the flight attendant walk off to board the plane.

INT. AIRPORT TERMINAL - MOMENTS LATER

Attendants stand at the ticket counter while passengers mull around and say goodbye to loved ones. Passenger B9 (male mid twenties) kisses his girlfriend.

PASSENGER B9I’ll text you when we land.

Passengers L3(old man) and L4(old woman), a couple, gives instructions to their adult son who is in a hurry to get rid of them.

PASSENGER L3Watch the house, feed the animals, water the ...

SONDad, you guys take this trip every year and every time you come back guess what? Every thing is fine. I’ve got to get going, I’ll call you tomorrow.

The son gets on his cell phone and walks off.

Sitting in the crowd is a woman with a worried look on her face. Her husband tries to convince her that flying is safe.

HUSBANDThey make this flight two, maybe three times a day, everyday. This plane costs 100 million dollars, do you think the airline would not protect it at all cost? It is the safest way to travel!

The wife jumps out of her seat and runs to the bathroom.

HUSBANDWoman!

Frustrated, the husband walks to the ticket counter and throws up his hands. Other families say their good byes. Passenger M6 (female college student) gets advice from her cautious father.

FATHERYour my little girl, I will always worry about you.

PASSENGER M6 Dad, I’m just going back to school, we’ll Skype tonight, love you.

Passenger M6 gives her father a kiss on the cheek and walks to the boarding ramp. Her father yells out one more piece of advice.

FATHERNo parties!

Passenger M6 smiles and shakes her head like daughters do at cautious fathers and puts her earbuds on and checks her phone.

INT. TICKET COUNTER - MOMENTS LATER

The frustrated husband turns in his tickets for a refund. Embarrassed, his wife stands by his side.

HUSBAND(to ticket attendant) My wife is from a small village and is afraid to fly, what can I tell you?

TICKET ATTENDANTWe understand.

EXT. AIRPLANE - ON THE TARMAC - MOMENTS LATER

Tarmac workers remove safety blocks from in front and behind the airplane wheels. A worker gives thumbs up to another worker.

INT. COCKPIT - MOMENTS LATER

The Captain and Flight Attendant #1(older woman) enter the open cockpit door and store their belongings in a cabinet. The young copilot eagerly turns to the Captain and reports.

COPILOTPre flight check is complete and we are ready for the skies Captain.

The captain sits down his brief case and has a seat.

CAPTAINAnother night, another flight.

COPILOTCaptain, I was wondering, could I take us off the runway tonight?

The Captain turns to Flight Attendant #1 and gestures “see what I mean?”.

Passengers finish their good byes to family and friends. They grab their carry on luggage and get in line to board the plane.

INT. FLIGHT ATTENDANT COMPARTMENT - AIRPLANE - MOMENTS LATER

Flight Attendant #1(older woman) loads a drink cart, Flight Attendant #2(young nerdy woman)) greets her with an open book in hand.

FLIGHT ATTENDANT #2Do you know why I love the night flights?

Flight Attendant #2 always asks this question and #1 already knows the answer.

FLIGHT ATTENDANT #1 AND #2

All the free time for reading.

FLIGHT ATTENDANT #2Every ones asleep as soon as they hit their seats, it’s a “dream flight”.

EXT. BOARDING RAMP - MOMENTS LATER

A ticket taker punches tickets and passengers enter the tunnel to the plane.

INT. KUALA LUMPUR AIR TRAFFIC CONTROL TOWER - MOMENTS LATER

It’s a slow night, two grizzled air traffic controllers casually smoke and play poker on the control panel.

INT. AIRPLANE - MOMENTS LATER

Flight Attendant #1 and #2 greet passengers at the airplane door.

Passengers walk on board, check their tickets, stow their carry on luggage and find their seats.

INT. COCKPIT - MOMENTS LATER

12:35 AM

The Captain and Copilot are seated with their headsets on preparing the jet for take off. The cabin is illuminated with screens, lit buttons and levers. An intercom call comes through from Flight Attendant #3(hip young male).

INT. FLIGHT ATTENDANT COMPARTMENT - AIRPLANE - MOMENTS LATER

FLIGHT ATTENDANT #3Captain, all passengers are on board and we are about to secure the cabin door.

INT. COCKPIT - MOMENTS LATER

Occupied, The Captain replies.

CAPTAINUnderstood.

INT. AIRPLANE - MOMENTS LATER

Flight Attendant #3 closes and locks the large cabin door. Passenger D3(little boy) standing in his seat watches the door close with excitement and wonder in his eyes, he turns to his father in seat D4(young dad).

PASSENGER D3Will we fly now? Just like Superman?

His father picks him up and sits him down on his lap and stretches the little boys arms out like Superman in flight.

PASSENGER D4Just like Superman.

Double checking the cabin door, Flight Attendant #3 notices M6(female college student) checking him out, he gestures to her with smile.

INT. COCKPIT - MOMENTS LATER

An indicator light on the dashboard goes off in view of The Copilot. As a matter of protocol he reports it to The he Captain.

COPILOTCabin door is secured.

The Captain contacts the air traffic control tower.

CAPTAINAir traffic this is Malaysia 3-7-0, we are boarded, secure and ready for take off.

INT. KUALA LUMPUR AIR TRAFFIC CONTROL TOWER - MORNING

The two controllers stop their game of Poker to nonchalantly check their monitors.

AIR TRAFFIC CONTROLLER #1Copy Malaysia 3-7-0. Your up on runway 4. There is no traffic and not a cloud in sight.

INT. COCKPIT - MOMENTS LATER

The Captain gestures with his eyes to The Copilot to take the controls. The Copilot is stunned and a little nervous, he takes the controls.

INT. AIRPLANE - MOMENTS LATER

Flight Attendant #1(older woman) gives the passengers pre flight instructions. Other attendants go from passenger to passenger checking their seat belts.

FLIGHT ATTENDANT #1In the event of a water landing your seat cushion may be used as a floatation device.

Buckled up, Passenger D3(little boy) has a look of amazement on his face.

EXT. AIRPLANE - ON THE TARMAC - MOMENTS LATER

A tarmac workers with signal lights directs the slow moving jetliner to the runway.

INT. COCKPIT - MOMENTS LATER

The Copilot nervously stirs the plane to the runway. The Captain has another cup of coffee and instructs The Copilot.

CAPTAINStraighten the nose, give it some gas and get us in the air.

COPILOT(enthusiastic) Yes sir.

The plane’s jet engines are heard building up speed.

INT. FLIGHT ATTENDANT COMPARTMENT - AIRPLANE - MOMENTS LATER

The flight attendants buckle themselves in and prepare for take off.

INT. AIRPLANE - MOMENTS LATER

The roaring of the jets are heard in the cabin and passengers prepare for take off.

EXT. RUNWAY - MOMENTS LATER

Flight 370 is seen lifting off the runway and into the sky.

INT. AIRPLANE - MOMENTS LATER

The take off is rough, a few passengers brace themselves. Passenger D3(little boy) has his arms stuck out like Superman in flight as the plane lists off.

INT. FLIGHT ATTENDANT COMPARTMENT - AIRPLANE - MOMENTS LATER

Reading her book, Flight Attendant #2(nerdy younger woman) turns to Flight Attendant #1(older woman).

FLIGHT ATTENDANT #2Rougher than usual?

Flight Attendant #1 holds on to her seat straps.

FLIGHT ATTENDANT #1Copilot.

FLIGHT ATTENDANT #2The kid.

Flight Attendant #2 rolls her eyes and sticks her face back into the book.

INT. COCKPIT - MOMENTS LATER

The Copilot has the controls of the plane. Glad to get a chance to fly he glances out the window and watches the airport and city lights shrink as the plane rises higher.

COPILOTWhat do you think, pretty good right?

The Captain doesn’t respond. The Copilot turns to the Captain for approval.

COPILOTCaptain?

The Captain is rubbing his chest and sweating through his shirt.

COPILOTCaptain are you alright?

The Captain loosens his sweaty collar.

CAPTAIN4 cups of coffee and a spicy late meal, I’m getting an antacid and hitting the head. You have the cockpit until I get back, keep it by the book.

The Copilot is excited for his chance to fly alone. The Captain gets out of his seat and turns to the copilot.

CAPTAINThis safety door(cockpit door) locks automatically from the inside, I have the only key so DO NOT LEAVE THE COCKPIT.

The Copilot stares out into the sky.

COPILOTYes sir.

The Captain leaves the cockpit.

INT. FLIGHT ATTENDANT COMPARTMENT - MOMENTS LATER

The Captain enters and looks through the cabinets, the flight attendants have unbuckled and are milling around.

FLIGHT ATTENDANT #1What can I get you Captain?

Sweating, the Captain rubs his chest.

CAPTAINThe stomach of a younger man.

The flight attendant hands him an antacid and a cup of water.

FLIGHT ATTENDANT #1This should do it.

CAPTAIN(joking) I’ll be in my office if anyone needs me.

The lavatory is his office, the flight attendant smiles as he walks away.

INT. AIRPLANE - MORNING

The Captain walks down the isle to the lavatory at the back of the plane. Passenger D3(little bot) waves at the Captain as he passes, ill, the Captain doesn’t acknowledge him. The little boy stands in his seat and turns to watch the Captain walk away.

The flight attendants begin passing out pillows to passengers.

INT. LAVATORY - MOMENTS LATER

The door opens, The Captain stumbles in. He drops the antacid in the small cup of water, it fizzes. He stares at his sweaty face in the mirror.

INT. AIRPLANE - MOMENTS LATER

Flight Attendant #3(hip young male) flirts with Passenger M6(female college student). He comments on her smart phone.

FLIGHT ATTENDANT #3Is that the Iphone 5s? I love that thing, you can track it anywhere! Once, I left mine in a Beijing bathroom, 2700 miles away!

He pulls his Iphone out.

PASSENGER M6“Find My Phone”. Gotta love it.

The two continue talking.

INT. COCKPIT - MOMENTS LATER

As part of routine reporting, The Copilot contacts Kuala Lumpur air traffic control.

1:19 AM

COPILOTThis is Malaysia 3-7-0 to Kuala Lumpur air traffic.

Air traffic responds over the radio.

AIR TRAFFIC CONTROLLER #1 (V.O.)Go ahead 3-7-0.

COPILOTWe’ve reached cruising altitude and headed out of your airspace.

INT. KUALA LUMPUR AIR TRAFFIC CONTROL TOWER - MOMENTS LATER

The air traffic controller checks the radar screen and sees a blip marked Malaysia 370.

AIR TRAFFIC CONTROLLER #1Copy that, there’s zero traffic into Beijing.

INT. COCKPIT - MOMENTS LATER

COPILOTAll right, good night.

Talking to himself, The Copilot begins typing on the cockpit computer.

COPILOTNow just program Auto Pilot for Beijing and you are finished.

The Copilot is proud of himself. He pulls out his cell phone, makes sure The Captain isn’t there and then he takes a “selfie” of himself giving thumbs up at the controls.

INT. LAVATORY - MOMENTS LATER

With a pained look on his face, The Captain sits on the toilet clutching his left arm. He stands up, grabs a paper towel and dries the sweat from his face. He knows something is wrong with him, he takes a deep breathe, looks in the mirror and leaves the lavatory.

INT. AIRPLANE - MOMENTS LATER

The lights of the cabin have dimmed, The Captain slowly makes his way up the isles using the backs of the seats for support. He pushes past Flight Attendant #3(hip young male) talking with Passenger M6. The Captain reaches the cockpit door, leans on it then knocks. The Copilot looks through the large peep hole and pulls the door open.

INT. COCKPIT - MOMENTS LATER

The Captain stumbles into the cockpit and catches himself on the back of his pilot’s chair.

COPILOTCaptain?

The Captain plops down in his seat.

CAPTAINWe’re turning this plane around.

COPILOTWhy?

The Captains chest pain increases.

CAPTAINStop asking questions and help fly this damn plane!

The Captain grabs the controls and turns the plane. The Copilot tries to stop him.

COPILOTCaptain we are in Auto Pilot! Please let me disengage first!

In pain, The Captain stands up, grabs his chest and arm. He reaches for the cockpit computer.

CAPTAINI’ll take us out of Auto Pilot! Get me some aspirin, now!

COPILOTAre you sure Captain?

CAPTAINNow!

The Copilot rushes out of his seat and leaves the cockpit, the metal security door locks behind him.

Before The Captain can disengage Auto Pilot he collapses to the floor.

INT. FLIGHT ATTENDANT COMPARTMENT - AIRPLANE - MOMENTS LATER

The Copilot digs through draws and cabinets, he finds the aspirins.

EXT. COCKPIT - MOMENTS LATER

The Copilot rushes back to the cockpit door, he turns the handle, it’s locked. He rattles the handle and taps on the door. No response, he looks through the peep hole to see The Captain lying on the floor, he turns his back to the door in instant panic. He looks to the unsuspecting passengers and crew moving about the cabin. He composes himself. So as not to cause a panic, he decides to hide the fact that no one is flying the plane. He talks to himself.

COPILOTYou are in charge, this is not a problem.

INT. FLIGHT ATTENDANT COMPARTMENT - MOMENTS LATER

He rushes to the intercom system linked to the cockpit. He whispers into it.

COPILOTCaptain, please open the door.

He hears moaning. He whispers into the intercom again.

COPILOTPlease Captain, open the door.

The Copilot begs.

COPILOTPlease Captain, please open the door.

Still talking into the intercom, Flight Attendant #2(nerdy younger woman) enters the compartment with her cart and startles The Copilot.

FLIGHT ATTENDANT #2You know, you could be jumpy or be a pilot, but it’s a bad combination to be both.

COPILOTJust talking to The Captain. Um, he wanted to know if we had any tools onboard?

The flight attendant is occupied loading chips on her cart.

FLIGHT ATTENDANT #2Tools? Like what?

COPILOT(nervous) A crowbar.

FLIGHT ATTENDANT #2Your kidding right? We’re not even allowed to bring fingernail clippers on board. What do you need with a crowbar ?

He constructs a lie.

COPILOTThe cockpit door is kind of stuck and The Captain wants me to pry it open.

She’s still occupied.

FLIGHT ATTENDANT #2You don’t need a crowbar to get that door open, it’s electric. There’s an emergency cut off switch for it down in the luggage compartment, kill the power and it’ll open right up.

The copilot rushes out of the compartment half cocked leaving the flight attendant talking to herself.

FLIGHT ATTENDANT #2But you got to wait til we land, the kill switch won’t work in flight.

She stops stocking her cart to find he’s gone, she shrugs her shoulders and gets back to work.

INT. COCKPIT - MOMENTS LATER

The cockpit computer reads “ROUTE CORRECTION - DESTINATION: BEIJING”

Both pilot chairs are empty and The Captain lies unconscious on the floor.

EXT. AIRPLANE - THE NIGHT SKY - MOMENTS LATER

The plane makes a slow turn in the night sky.

INT. KUALA LUMPUR AIR TRAFFIC CONTROL TOWER - MOMENTS LATER

The two air traffic controllers play Poker and ignore the radar screen.

INT. AIRPLANE - MOMENTS LATER

The Copilot rushes down the isle headed for the rear of the aircraft. Passenger D3(little boy) is play flying an action figure, his father is asleep.

Flight Attendant #3 is still flirting with Passenger M6(female college student)

PASSENGER M6Aren’t your other passengers going to be jealous your spending all your time with me?

FLIGHT ATTENDANT #3Nah, they’ll sleep all the way through. We can talk all night.

The continue talking.

INT. LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT - MOMENTS LATER

The Copilot climbs down a latter to the dimly lit luggage compartment. The large compartment is full with luggage, boxes and freights, he looks around for a kill switch. He sees it through a crack between a wall of luggage. Frantically he throws suitcases out of the way to reach the switch. When he gets close to the kill switch a mountain of luggage collapses in front of it to reveal an entire wall of switches, power breakers and fuses. He doesn’t know which switch to flip, panic washes over him.

The Copilot takes a deep breath, closes his eyes and indiscriminately flips several switches.

INT. LAVATORY - MOMENTS LATER

The switch the Copilot flipped turned off the light in the lavatory.

INT. AIRPLANE - MOMENTS LATER

The Copilot conceals his emotions as he calmly rushes to the cockpit door.

EXT. COCKPIT - MOMENTS LATER

He gets to the cockpit door and rattles the handle, it doesn’t open, he sighs, pushes his emotions down again to conceal the truth from everyone else. He calmly rushes back to the luggage compartment.

INT. LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT - MOMENTS LATER

The copilot stands in front of the wall of switches and randomly flips another one then takes off to see if that one opens the cockpit door.

INT. COCKPIT - MOMENTS LATER

A small beeping alarm is heard. The cockpit computer screen flashes “AIRCRAFT TRANSPONDER HAS BEEN TAKEN OFFLINE”.

The Copilot is heard rattling the cockpit door handle.

INT. KUALA LUMPUR AIR TRAFFIC CONTROL TOWER - MOMENTS LATER

The two air traffic controllers continue to play Poker and neither realize that the blip for flight 370 has vanished from the screen.

INT. COCKPIT - MOMENTS LATER

The Captain hears the beeping and struggles to gain continuousness. He reaches up and grabs the controls of the plane.

INT. LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT - MOMENTS LATER

Frustrated, the Copilot flips more switches.

INT. COCKPIT - MOMENTS LATER

At the same time, The Captain pulls himself up by the plane’s controls causing the aircraft to dramatically gain altitude at a steep incline. In his weakened state The Captain looses his grip on the controls and rolls to the back of the cockpit.

EXT. AIRPLANE - MOMENTS LATER

The plane dramatically ascends at a steep angle.

INT. LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT - MOMENTS LATER

Stacks of luggage fall over. Scared he has disabled the plane, The Copilot rushes back to the cockpit door.

INT. AIRPLANE - MOMENTS LATER

The flight attendants milling around the plane hold on to the backs of seats, they’ve experienced turbulent flights and think nothing off it.

EXT. COCKPIT - MOMENTS LATER

The Copilot calmly rushes to the cockpit door and presses his eye against the peep hole. He sees The Captain lying on the floor.

INT. COCKPIT - MOMENTS LATER

The Copilot’s eye can be seen staring through the peep hole. He sees the cockpit computer flashing the words : “ROUTE GUIDANCE STABILIZING” and the plane’s automated controls move to even themselves out.

EXT. AIRPLANE - MOMENTS LATER

The planes incline levels off.

EXT. COCKPIT - MOMENTS LATER

The Copilot turns his back to the door and breathes a sigh of relief.

*CUT TO ACTUAL NEWS FOOTAGE REPORTS OF THE AUTO PILOT, ALTITUDE FLUCTUATIONS AND THE TRANSPONDER BEING TURNED OFF ON MALAYSIA 370

INT. AIRPLANE - MOMENTS LATER

Flight Attendant #3(hip young male) is still talking to Passenger M6, he looks towards the cockpit with a questioned look and then quickly dismisses it. He continues his conversation.

Passenger D3(little boy) is quietly excited about the planes dramatic ascent. Flight Attendant #1(older woman) approaches the boy with a motherly smile.

FLIGHT ATTENDANT #1Not sleepy yet?

The boy shakes his head “no”. The flight attendant goes into her pocket and pulls out a complimentary “pilot wings” pin and pins it to the boys shirt. The boy’s excitement is shown in his huge smile. The attendant sweetly taps the boy on the nose like a mother would.

FLIGHT ATTENDANT #1Now go to sleep.

The boy shakes his head “yes” and closes his eyes. The attendant walks away, the boy opens his eyes, makes sure she’s gone and then marvels at the pin.

INT. LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT - MOMENTS LATER

The Copilot climbs down into the luggage compartment and paces, panic stricken, he talks to himself.

COPILOTOh my God oh my God oh my God! We are going to run out of fuel! How do I get the door open? Think! I’ll call the tower and they can remotely unlock the door!

He pulls out his cell phone but it has no signal bars. An idea strikes him, he runs back to the airplane cabin.

INT. AIRPLANE - MOMENTS LATER

The Copilot grabs an air phone from behind a passengers seat and begins to dial, the phone is dead, he accidentally cut off the air phone system as well. He slams the phone back down on the receiver. Flight Attendant #1(older woman) approaches him with concern.

FLIGHT ATTENDANT #1Is there a problem?

COPILOTJust doing some routine system checks at The Captains request. Um, the air phone will be offline for a while.

FLIGHT ATTENDANT #1O-kay.

The Copilot rushes off. The attendant gives a puzzled look.

INT. LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT - MOMENTS LATER

Sweaty, disheveled and close to defeat, The Copilot beats his head on a row of buttons on the wall of switches. He pleads with it.

COPILOTPlease open. One of you, please be the one.

From the outside, the camera passes the cockpit window revealing no one at the controls and then passes the airplane windows showing sleeping passengers. They have no clue of the drama unfolding.

A Chinese soldier monitoring a radar screen picks up a blip on his screen entering Chinese airspace without permission, he picks up a phone and contacts his superior.

A supervisor bursts into the air traffic control center and announces to two air traffic controllers.

The controllers goes into action checking their screens.

The supervisor picks up a phone with a line on hold and presses the flashing button.

The phone rings, a Chinese official rolls over and picks it up. He is quickly briefed on the situation and calmly responds.

CHINESE OFFICIALWhat is it’s trajectory? Get Interceptors in the air.

The official hangs up the phone and rolls back over.

Flight Attendant #3 and the disheveled copilot rush to the front of the airplane.

Flight Attendant #3 grabs several butter knives from a draw. With nothing to do, the attendants are seated in the compartment and notice the copilot looking bad.

Flight Attendant #3 jams the butter knives in the cockpit door and tries to “jimmy” the lock. The Copilot and a few flight attendants gather around the cockpit door. Flight Attendant #3 jerks the butter knives back and forth in the door jam until they bend. He throws them to the floor and turns to The Copilot and punches him. Other attendants hold him back.

FLIGHT ATTENDANT #3If we don’t get this door open we’re all dead!

FLIGHT ATTENDANT #2I think there’s some big flashlights at the back of the plane, maybe we can use them to break the door handle?

She takes off running to the back of the ship.

On a radar screen four small blips move towards the larger blip.

The sound from the flashlight hitting the door starts to wake up passengers.

The radio transmission combined with the sound of the flashlight hitting the door is beginning to wake up The Captain.

The Chinese jet fighter pilot has made visual contact with the airliner. The pilot gets instructions over the radio.

INT. AIRPLANE - MOMENTS LATER

A few passengers get out of their seats to investigate the disturbance at the cockpit.

Passenger D3(little boy) wakes up, he looks over to his father who is still sleeping. Curious, the little boy unbuckles himself, gets out of his seat and slowly walks to the cockpit when the sight of the Chinese fighter jet outside of the plane’s window catches his eyes. The boy squeezes by sleeping passengers to stand at the window, the jet is so close that the little boy can see the face of the fighter pilot. No on else notices the fighter jet.

The fighter jet pilot looks over and sees the little boy in the window of the airliner waving at him. The fighter pulls forward and looks into the cockpit, he sees no one at the controls and The Captain lying lifeless on the floor. He taps his radio communicator.

INT. AIRPLANE - MOMENTS LATER

Still looking out the window, the little boy watches the fighter jet decelerate and get into formation with the other jets behind the airliner.

INT. COCKPIT - MOMENTS LATER

Via the radio, the Chinese military is still calling the cockpit.

EXT. COCKPIT - MOMENTS LATER

Flight Attendant #3 is still hitting the door handle with the flashlight and others have begun banging and kicking the door.

INT. COCKPIT - MOMENTS LATER

The Captain slowly comes to and looks to the controls to see that no one is flying the plane. He hears the banging and he slowly drags himself to the door. The Captain slowly reaches for the handle, turns it and the door opens and he collapses again.

EXT. COCKPIT - MOMENTS LATER

The cockpit door barely clicks open, everyone looks to each other and screams out in celebration.

INT. COCKPIT - MOMENTS LATER

The Copilot and Flight Attendant #3 push the door open, knocking The Captain’s limp body out of the way. The Copilot quickly takes the controls and replies to the Chinese air force’s message.

At breakfast, the Chinese official is reading his newspaper. An aid stands by holding a cell phone.

Without emotion the official gives the order.

The Official casually sips his coffee.

The pilot receives his orders.

The screen goes black. Several seconds later the Chinese air force calls the plane back.

Air traffic controller #1, #2, #3, the Supervisor and the Chinese soldier sit in a small bright room with rows of chairs. They all look worried. The door to the room closes.

The tarp covered military trucks that loaded up the airliner wreckage are being loaded onto Chinese navy vessels. There is a close up of the Chinese official’s face. He is on the phone and supervising the trucks and ships.

CHINESE OFFICIALThis is a great embarrassment but the rest of the world need never know about. Yes sir, I will personally oversee the deposit of the wreckage. Yes sir, the middle of the Indian Ocean. This will all be over within a few days, yes I’m sure. Thank you sir.

He hangs up the phone and the camera pulls away to reveal that the Chinese official is a general in the Chinese army.
