What is Q’center �  A powerful central management tool

Login  from  QTS   Q’center  UI  

Setting it up – Demo: TVS-463 1.  Login through QTS

2.  Go to App Center

3.  Search: “Q’center” and install

4.  Find Q’center on the QTS desktop and launch application

Add Servers 1.  Choose what NAS servers you want to add to

manage with Q’center server

2.  Check the NAS you wish to manage and enter all the credentials

3.  Click next to proceed to next step

4.  Shows if you need to upgrade firmware/ can download once and apply to multiple NAS

Report �  Download and view specific reports/logs

Different reports that can be generated

Report generated on every NAS -> e.g. hard drive capacity, serial number, model number, type, vendor and more.

Log �  Q’center retrieves all the logs from all the NAS servers such as event and

connection logs.

�  Sort by clicking on column header, and also a search function for a more specific notification/message

�  Export logs in CSV

Rule – create rules for specific groups/servers �  Create rules to change system settings for multiple NAS, or apply to new

added NAS (same rule as the rest that is pre-configured) �  Network, security notification, privilege settings, network services e.g

FTP server

Select server-group for specific rules Enable/disable certain network settings etc.

Firmware Library store multiple firmware for multi-NAS updates

�  Instantly check for newest software/firmware available to download

�  Check if NAS are up-to-date

�  Download and store software in the Q’center server, which can update the rest of the servers �  IT administrators do not need to login to each QNAP NAS to perform software

updates one by one
