The COSTAR mission is to make the European critical economic infrastructure of SMEs more resilient to cyber‐attacks, by:

• Provisioning affordable managed cyber‐security services in all European member states especially geared to SMEs

• Actively monitoring the health of SME infrastructure on subscriber devices

• Providing remedial action to assist subscribed SMEs who have been attacked

• Mounting training and awareness programs for the SME sector

• Collating cross border evidence of cyber‐attacks to assist in effective prosecutions by Criminal Justice organisations

COSTAR is a Not For Profit organisation and the result of a “Trust in Digital Life” incubator project , generating new business, for and by SMEs

• Most SMEs are vulnerable even to basic cyber attacks

• SMEs are not aware of the risks and are unprepared

• A single attack can put an SME out of business and will even severely impact their customers and suppliers

• While most of the valuable information of an SME is on their devices, they neglect to secure these devices

• None of the current security service providers can scale down to SMEs
