Contact MAPA Facilitators The Management of Actual or Potential Aggression Foundation Course (MAPA) 6-hour introductory training course from the Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) has a core philosophy of providing for the care, welfare, safety and security of staff and students in educational settings. The training provides strategies and skills for staff members and/or teams to respond safely and effectively to anxious, hostile, or violent behaviour of students with a framework for decision-making and a strong focus on prevention and de-escalation.
