1. What is Leader Participation model

Leader -Participation model was developed by " Victor Vroom and Phillip

yetton". Leadership behaviour and participation in decision making are associated with this

model. This model states that the leader behaviour should manage to represent the task structure

such as path-goal theory. In order to determine the form and amount of participation in decision

making, this model provides a decision tree of seven contingencies and five leadership styles.

2. Importance of motivation

Motivation is important as is one of the factors which helps in influencing the performance of the

individual. For effective utilization of organizational facilities it is very essential for the

organization to motivate its employees. In an organization, all the superiors/leaders should

motivate their subordinates so that they can make use of right type of behaviours.
