But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth. Acts 1:8

But Peter and James replied, “Judge for yourselves whether it is right in God’s sight to obey you rather than God. For we cannot help speaking about what we have seen and heard.

Acts 4:19-20

Every Christian has a story to tell that needs to be told.

God entrusts us with the work of witnessing to a lost world. I Corinthians 4:1-2

We are called to be stewards of the

Gospel!

I Peter 1:18-19

Soul winners are not soul winners because of what we know, but because of Who we know, how well we know Him, and how much we long for others to know Him.”

Dawson Trotman

The Mission of Christ Luke 19:10

“seek and save the lost.”

The Mission of the Church

Matthew 28:18-20

Mark 16:15

Luke 9:1-2, 60

Jesus has given us, the church, the wonderful privilege of sharing the Good News about Him to a lost world.

Acts 10:34

The testimony of a changed life flowed out of our spiritual ancestors hearts into every day living, touching everyone they had the opportunity to influence.

We are the light of the world, but our light

has grown dim. We are the salt of the earth, but we have become

flavorless.

Acts17:6

These that have turned the world upside down.

We are called to impact and transform this world, so how are we doing? How do you feel about the fact that only 5% of Christians ever share their faith.

You shall be my witnesses. The word “martus” translated “witness” appears 13 times in the New Testament. The Greek root word denotes, “one who can or does confidently assert what he or she has seen, heard or knows.”

Acts 4:1-33

The transition from being lame to leaping provided a literal “walking witness” or testimony of what God had done for him.

Acts 4:23-31,33

Great power and abundant grace were the benefits and blessings of being faithful witnesses for Christ.

The word “power” in the Greek is “dunamis”. Dunamis is supernatural power or energy that God provides to get the witnessing job done.

Acts 1:8

Spiritual power for witnessing was promised by the Father and provided through the baptism of the Holy Spirit.

Matthew 3:11John 7:37-39Luke 24:45-49

Power and obedience are connected to one another, when we are obedient, we experience the power of God through the Holy Spirit.

Have you obeyed God by receiving and being filled with the Holy Spirit?

Are you obeying God by actively witnessing for Him in the power of the Holy Spirit?

You have a story to tell!

Our testimonies are an expression of the change that has

taken place in us.

John 9

Whether He is a sinner or not, I don’t know. One thing I do know. I was blind but now I see!

Who can argue with the testimony of a changed life?

Identify the Change that takes place in the

believer’s life.

Ezekiel 36:26

John 5:24Romans 6:4-5Romans 8:11,14-17 II Corinthians 5:17Galatians 6:15

How has your life changed since you

received Christ as your personal Savior?

Life before Christ How I received Christ Life after Christ

“Evangelism is expressing what I posses in Christ and explaining how you

can possess it too”Joseph Aldrich

If your Christianity is worth having, it should be worth

sharing.
