At Breakfast Paraguayans have cocido which is a hot drink of cooked sugar and milk or coffee, bread, margarine, rolls and pastries.
For lunch and dinner Paraguayans have mandioca, chipa, empanadas, Sopa Paraguay (Paraguayan cake) and meat.
Beef when available is included in the meals.
Fruits are also part of the diet and include bananas, oranges, watermelons, pears, peaches, guavas and papayas.
Vegetables include squash, carrots, tomatoes, potatoes, cabbage, onions and peppers.
One reason why people move to and from Paraguay is because of jobs. People from Paraguay move mainly to Brazil, Uruguay and Argentina. There they work in Agriculture.
