INDIA’S DIGITAL TURN REDIFINING CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE : IS IT TRUE ?
s per the report of Boston Consulting (BCG) and internet mobile
Aassociation of India (IAMAI) 2015, the internet population increased 25 times in the last 12 years. Customer experience has become the ideal
scale to choose between brands, and poor experience is a way of falling short in the buyer’s journey to continuous communication. Indian consumers are using digital wallet mobile applications and other instruments such as UPI, Paytm, Google Pay (TEZ) rather than paying cash for buying products and services. With Oracle Cloud, Adidas India customers will be able to complete the shop-bill-checkout process three times faster than earlier at any of the Adidas stores across the country. According to Forrester, 72% of businesses say that improving customer experience is their top priority, while only 63% prioritize on implementing technology investments to reach their goal. Digital technologies have already been utilized to reduce the dependency on manual processes and improve customer experience. Be it in providing faster resolution to queries to completely digitizing the application experience, consumers have grown to expect certain minimum standards of comfort and simplicity.
A comprehensive understanding of what creates successful outcomes for a
customer for each type of business objectives can give great insight into what touch points customer prefer, how much is the effort required on each of
the journey paths, the percentage of success and most importantly what is the customer satisfaction on those journey paths. According to research by the Journal of Consumer Research, more than 50% of the experience is based on emotions and in many cases, emotions are the decision drivers. Data Security, Crime and Terrorism, Complexity, Privacy Concerns, Social Disconnect, Job Insecurity, Plagiarism and Copyright and Social Depersonalization are the majors’ threats for digital consumer. TechARC’s India digital ad-fraud market report, digital commerce contributed to more than half (51 per cent) of the total ad-fraud in India, followed by leisure and travel at 26 per cent; entertainment and gaming at 13 per cent; banking and finance at 8 per cent; healthcare and Pharma at 1 per cent.

ECO-FRIENDLY CROP CULTURE AnkitaAwasthi, Research Scholar, SangeetaAvasthi, Associate Professor A.N.D.N.N.M. Mahavidyalaya, Kanpur.
India is an agriculture-based country. Approximately 70% population depends on agriculture for their livelihood. The production of quality crops is considerably affected by various insects & pests, infesting at different stages of crop growth, which are the main constraints in profitable commercial production. The production and productivity of the crop is greatly hampered by different pests. To control the pest, several chemical insecticides are applied. Initially these pesticides performed well against the pest. But they create several other problems. Indiscriminate use of these chemicals harms the non-target organism, develop pest resistance and are harmful for environment. These toxics accumulate in the crop and later it adversely affects the human population also. Chemical control alone is not sufficient for pest control. To avoid such problems integrated pest management develops the concept of biopesticides. Plant produces several chemicals for their safety against herbivores, pest, viruses, nematodes etc. These secondary metabolites perform very well as pesticide with less harm to the environment. Secondary metabolites from plants play a key defensive role against the insects and act as antifeedants, oviposition deterrents and growth inhibitors. These botanicals are not only biodegradable and environment friendly but also there is less likelihood for insects to develop resistance against these natural substances. Botanical insecticides are an important group of naturally occurring, often slow acting crop protectants that are usually safer to humans and the environment than conventional pesticides. These contain mixture of biologically active substances thus no resistance is developed in the pest. Therefore, the use of botanical insecticides has been recommended ever more as a suitable alternative of plant P,rotection with minimum negative risk. The interest in biopesticides is based on the advantages associated with such products. Use of botanicals, for controlling insect pests in the last few decades have given promising results. Studies indicated that Neem, Jatropha, Kasaundi, Sabajan, Nagkesara, Satavri and Tesu etc. give tremendous results against different crop JJest. So, there is a need to apply the laboratory results in the field on large scale, make people aware about these ecofriendly pesticides and provide these biopesticides to the farmer at minimum possible cost.
