Health & Safety COURSE PURPOSE Incorrect manual handling causes over 80% of workplace injuries. This program provides an understanding of how manual handling tasks aff ect the body and provides key outcomes to control risk. LEARNING OUTCOMES • Identify and investigate typical workplace tasks and incidents with the potential of a musculoskeletal disorder. • Assess tasks for risk. • Develop suitable control measures. • Develop a Risk Control Plan for tasks with potential musculoskeletal disorder. • Consult key workplace stakeholders during the development of the Risk Control Plans. • Develop an implementation strategy for a Risk Control Plan allocating responsibility for actions to responsible persons. • Develop a simple management program for manual handling tasks • Develop and use risk assessment tool. Refunds will not be provided for non attendance at a program without notice.
