Full Configuration In full configuration, the shelf can hold one backplane, one powercard, one SCCB card, four user cards and one fan box. Figure 2shows shelf full configuration.

SCCB CardFunctions The following are the SCCB card functions:

� User card configuration, management and control

� 4 × 24 route ADSL/ADSL2+ and 4 × 16 VDSL2 route integra-tion

� Using backplane interfaces to execute Ethernet switch card ser-vice access and data exchange between uplink port and cas-cade port on main control card

� Route chips control and management

� Provides two GE/FE electric/fiber interfaces, one GE/FE elec-tric/fiber interface or one GPON/EPON interface with uplinksubcard

� Provides voice service with VoIP subcard

� Two interfaces: MGT interface and Monitor interface

Panels SCCB card panels can adopt eight interface configurations depend-ing on different uplink subcard types. Figure 4, Figure 5, Figure6, Figure 7, Figure 8, Figure 9, Figure 10 and Figure 11 show thecard interface configuration.

Besides uplink interfaces, SCCB card contains three managementinterfaces:

� One MGT for out-of-band management and equipment adjust-ment

� One Console for local super terminal management

� One Monitor for switches input signal

� Uplink subcards provide uplink service for subscribers withmegabit/gigabit optical/electrical interfaces and GPON/EPONinterfaces.

� VoIP subcard provides VoIP function with 128 VoIP sources.

Panels � FEUA/FEUB/FEUC subcards use the same PCB while adopt dif-ferent interface modules. The panel is shown in Figure 12.

� GFUA/GFUB/GFUC subcards use the same PCB while adopt dif-ferent interface modules. The panel is shown in Figure 13.

� EPNA subcard contains an EPON interface. Subcard linksthrough GMII to control exchange card and executes systemuplink function.

� GPNB subcard contains a GPON interface. Subcard linksthrough GMII to control exchange card and executes systemuplink function.

� VOPCB subcard contains no interface and works by beingplugged-in SCCB card. It functions include voice coding anddecoding, packet wrapping and unwrapping and 128 routeVoIP supply.

ASTDE card works in compliance with ETSI TS101-952-1-1 stan-dards.

Fan BoxFeatures Fan box is fitted on the left side of shelf and it acts as an exhaust

for the inside hot air. There is a fan control card built inside to testand control its operation. Fan unit can be hot swapped.
