1. To prepare construction for production.

Here below several points, which have to be correct, before the section can beprepared for production

• To place construction arrows.

• To split plates (soft/hard seams)

• Knuckles

• Overlength

• Have all parts a Partnumberingsymbol.

• Kind of material.

• To take over/control holes from Cadmatic.

Holes from Cadmatic has to be approved, otherwise the holes will not bemarked or burned.

4. Preparation “Coding Section”.

Before to start with coding the section, first all the existing dxf-files (plate-parts), allprofilesketches and robot-files have to be removed.

4.1 To remove all existing DXF-Files.

Activate.

First all the existing DXF-files has to be deleted.

Reason: By renumbering, the partnumbers of allthe existed DXF-files are not correct anymore.

Activate the function “Delete all”.

5. First do several checks.

It is important to do some checks, before really start with “coding the wholesection”.

• Check for double elements (constructionparts) in the construction, which areidentical and on the same location.

• Check for too long lengths of Profiles.• Check for too large sizes of Plate-parts.• Check if all parts have a partsymbol in the drawing.

Page 9: Manual Nupas5 2 Cam Rev d

Check of double parts on the same place The plate-size and profile-length has tobe changed, if it is different as given herebelow.

Check for parts, which have no partnumber symbol on the drawingsheets.

Note : If there are incompletenesses here, it has to be solved first.

After that restart at Chapter 2 Automatic numbering.

6. Create Process Codes.

These data is important for Production engineering, extra information will be placedin the database, like bended and knuckled profiles etc.

7. To code section.

It is now possible to create all the plate parts and profile-sketches and/or robotfiles in one run.

For to create robot-files, there are 2 options :1. Schelde robot files

These robot-files are necessary for production at the Schelde – side.2. Galatz robot files

These robot-files are necessary for production at the Damen Galatz – sidein Rumanian.

Only flat bars need special attention.

Namely:It is possible to create plate parts from flat bars, see chapter 7.2.In chapter 7.1, also from each flat bar a profile-sketch and/or robot-file will begenerated of each flat bar.

This is important, because on the sketch is still extra information, which is notdefined on the plate-part (DXF-file).

Chapter 7.1 Code a section, by creating plate-parts (dxf-files) and profile-sketches.

Chapter 7.2 Convert flatbar material to plate-parts (dxf-files).These plate parts can be checked by the following function inNuPas: CAM Modify Coded Parts.

Page 12: Manual Nupas5 2 Cam Rev d

7.2 Convert flatbar material to plate-parts (dxf-files).

Remarks : Use only this option, when there is no flat bar material available. The profile sketches of the flat profiles are already created in chapter7.1. The sketch is important, because it gives extra information, whichis not on the DXF file. The DXF-filename has as extra prefix “PR”, which gives a differencebetween the dxf-filename of plate-parts and the dxf-filename of aflatbar.

7.3 Create a List of Shell-frames, which are not a flat bar

When it is necessary to create dxf-files from flat bars, the option code shell-frames hasto be active (system management). Then automatically dxf-files are created of allshell-frames. Also from for example HP-profiles. It is possible to create a part listonly from shell-frames, which are not a flat bar. With the generated partlist it ispossible to delete the dxf-files manually, or to move the dxf-files to a special location(manually).

Panel name “SA”, which is defined in Chapter 2 Panel name for shell frames.

Material type : “FB” depends, what is set in the project. If material type is different, like “ST”, then it has to be !ST.

10. To check the DXF-files.

You have to look at :- Is the contour closed.- Is the text readable?- Is the text inside the plate contour.- Remove superfluous information.

Activate

Activate a DXF-file

If a DXF-file has to be changedYou have 2 possibilities. Nl. 1: Change.

2: To drawing mode

With option “To Drawing Mode”the normal NuPasdraw-functions can be used.Afterwards with the button“SAVE” the changes will besaved.

11. Check if all the CAM-data is present.

The check will use :• Checklist.• Looking for partnumbers in the

drawingsheets.• Present cam –data, like Dxf-files of platesand robotfiles of the profiles.

In the panel will be reported which partnumbersare wrong. The errors should be :

1. No partnumbersymbol or nosectionview in the drawing-sheets.

2. No DXF-file present of a plate-part.3. No Profile-robotfile present.

4. Views are not recalculated, with optioncheck posnumbers.

5. Forgotten to remove old DXF-data.6. Forgotten to remove old profile-data.7. …..

18. To export a section to others, or to set a section in Read-mode.

The read mode is useful, an indication is given, that the section is used nowelsewhere.Or when a section is ready , it can be “locked”

.Extra explanation :

: All cam files (robot-files,sketches, dxf-files) not included.

: Include information for Cadmatic information (see alsoChapter 21).

20. Procedure for automatic numbering after changes in a section.

Use only this procedure when the production data is already sent to production and bysmall changes at the last moment. In other case you have to go back to chapter 2.

When construction has been added to a section, these construction parts have a

partnumber with a value of 0.

Brackets can get automatically a partnumber. You have to change the partnumber to“0”, when you create a new bracket. Or in a other way by changing the logistical data.

Example changing partnumber of a new bracket:

/Example changing a partnumber by logistical data:

Change partnumber to “0”.

There are 2 possibilities to number these parts.

Manual numbering.Automatic numbering.

Manual numbering.By manual numbering you have to change the partnumber by logistical data.

Example changing a partnumber by logistical data :

The new partnumber has to be least the highestpartnumber in the section + 1.Or start with a higher range like 2000 or 3000

Automatic numbering.

The new parts must have the default partnumber value of “0”.The new partnumber has to be least the highest partnumber in the section + 1.Or start with a higher range like 2000 or 3000

21. Exporting NuPas sections, has to be sent to an other location.

The following rules are determining:• At the other location a replica of the same Cadmatic project has to be

present and running.• The NuPas project at the other location has been connected to the replica

Cadmatic-project.• The exported sections have to be sent to Cadmatic too.

Please do the following steps:

1. Latest construction has to be present in Cadmatic.

a. Synchronize the section

2. Export the section with option NC Piping ID’s activated.

3. At Cadmatic side the COS database has to synchronized between the twolocations. Normally this will be done automatically every 10 minutes.

4. The export section (.gz file) has to be sent to the other location.

5. At the received location the section has to be imported.
