Manual V1.1 January 2015 Please read this manual carefully before using the device. Keep it for future reference.

INTRODUCTION You have purchased a high-quality telemetry system for Sony camcorder, which was developed in Germany. Extensive tests have shown that the RCP bridge is extremely reliable and stable. Nevertheless, we point out that no guarantee of trouble-free operation can be given. Please observe these instructions carefully and operate the device only when you have read them and implemented fully. DISCLAIMER Both compliance with the operating instructions as well as the conditions and methods of installation and operation the RCP bridge can not be monitored by MUCKiMEDiA. Because of that, we accept no liability for any loss, damages or costs arising from incorrect use of our product, or are related in any way. WARNINGS It is not allowed to use the system in extremely hot or suspend cold temperatures, moisture, strong vibrations and high humidity. It is not allowed to open the housing. Use only stabilized power sources having an output voltage of 12V. It is not allowed to short circuit the contacts of the connectors! Never use the system in conjunction with other than the Sony cameras and Sony RCP's shown below. COMPATIBLE SONY PRODUCTS PMW-EX3 PMW-300 PMW-320 PMW-350 PMW-400 PMW-500 PMW-X500 PDW-F335 PDW-680 PDW-850 HDW-650P HDW-F900R F5 F55 F65 RCP-1000/1001 RCP-1500/1501/1530 RM-B150/B170

INSTALLATION / OPERATION

RCP-SIDED On the RCP side please connect the RCP bridge via the 8-pin Hirose connector with the RCP. Supply the RCP bridge and the RCP via the DC socket of the RCP bridge module with a 12V battery or a stabilized 12V power supply from a reputable manufacturer (min. 1A). Pay attention to the correct polarity (Ring = - / Tip = +) and a suitable fuse. The RJ-45 jack serves as a connection interface between the two RCP bridge modules. CAMERA-SIDED On the Camera side please connect the RCP bridge via the 8-pin Hirose connector with the camera. The DC socket of the RCP bridge can be used as voltage output. Here the same voltage is present, which is also present at the Hirose connector of the camera. Check the available power using the data sheet of the used camera and subtract 300mA for power requirements of the RCP bridge module itself. The RJ-45 jack serves as a connection interface between the two RCP bridge modules.

CONNECTING the two sides without additional components Connect the two RCP bridge modules via the RJ-45 jacks with a network cable (at least Cat. 5). Use only well-established and reputable cable manufacturers. CONNECTION OF BOTH SIDES WITH ADDITIONAL COMPONENTS The RCP bridge modules can communicate with each other via additional network components from other manufacturers, but are not primarily designed for it. If you want to connect the RCP bridge modules via one or more switches, or even a WiFi bridge, please use exclusively established products from leading manufacturers. It might be necessary to configure the RCP bridge modules via software to get a connection through foreign additional products. Please ask the manufacturer about configuration options for both RCP bridge modules. WARRANTY Each product goes through many tests during manufacture. We place special emphasis on high quality. Repairs do not extend the warranty period. During the warranty period, do not damage, remove or change our warranty seal. It is not allowed to open the RCP bridge modules. DISPOSAL This product may be sent back to your dealer at end of life where it will be reused or recycled at no cost to you. Have fun with your RCP bridge modules.
