1. Overview

Image 1 shows the SensLive main page after login.

2. Profile Settings

Images 2 and 3 show how user can access and edit his profile settings.

Button A Allows user to upload a profile avatar.

Button B Remove current profile avatar. Loads default avatar.

Name Name of user.

City City.

Country Country.

Phone Phone number.

Mobile Mobile number.

Email Email of user. Used as login username.

Language Portal language.

Timezone Time zone.

List Separator Character to be used as separator on CSV files exportation.

Password User password (empty to not change it).

Confirm Password Confirm user password (empty to not change it).

3. Dashboard

“Dashboard” is the page that is presented to user after login.

As shown in image 7, it is presented the following information:

Sensors with status “Critical”;

Sensors with status “Warning”;

Sensors with status “Unknown”;

Geographical Location of user’s devices;

List of last events.

4. Devices

“Devices” menu shows user’s devices information as image 8 shows.

Table 2 describes the information about each device.

Field Name Description

Name Name of device.

Mac address Factory MAC address of device.

Local Local where device is registered to.

Last Contact Last contact communication from device to Senslive.

Interval Interval configured on device to communicate with Senslive.

Status Status of device. Can be “Normal” or “Unknown” based on last

contact.

Alerts Can be “Normal” or “Fired”. Depends if there are configured

alerts to device which have been fired or not.

Table 2 – Device information

User can add manually a new device by clicking on button “New”. A pop-up is presented to insert the Mac

address and select the local, as shown in image 9.

Notes:

There is a simpler way to do registration of new devices. Please refer to chapter 12 of this manual;

A device is associated to a local. To learn more about management of users/local, please refer to

chapters 9 and 10 of this manual.

By clicking on device name, it will be redirected to the list of sensors of that device.

In that page, is possible to edit device settings. For that expand the collapsible section on the top, as shown in

figure 10. Then, clicking on “Edit”, a pop-up will be presented to change the editable settings of the device, as

shown in figure 11.

Table 3 describes the information about each editable setting of a device.

Field Name Description

Name Name of device.

Local Local where device is registered to.

Latitude Latitude of GPS coordinate where device is geographically

located at. Only to be used at map of dashboard.

Longitude Longitude of GPS coordinate where device is geographically

located at. Only to be used at map of dashboard.

Monitoring If checked, SensLive will store data received from this device.

Else, SensLive will ignore communications from this device.

Send alerts

If checked, SensLive will send alerts of this device if there are

alerts configured. Else, SensLive will not send any alert from

this device, even if there are alerts configured.

Field Name Description

Button A Button to refresh information.

Button B Button to select the period of time. Default is last 24 hours.

Name Name of sensor.

Serial number Factory serial number of sensor.

Last value Last value of sensor.

Min Minimum value configured. To be used on alerts.

Max Maximum value configured. To be used on alerts.

Hyst Hysteresis value configured. To be used on alerts.

Last contact Last contact communication from sensor to Senslive.

Status Status of sensor. Can be “Normal”, “Warning”, “Critical” or

“Unknown” based on last contact and sensor last value.

Alerts Can be “Normal” or “Fired”. Depends if sensor has alerts

associated which have been fired or not.

Chart Shows a line graph with values of the period of time selected

at Button B.

Min (with background color) Minimum value registered in the period of time selected at

Button B. *

Max (with background color) Maximum value registered in the period of time selected at

Button B. *

chapter 5 of this manual.

If SensLive detects that a value has been manipulated, it will be indicated by a red warning symbol, as shown in

image 14.

For editing sensor information, it can be done by clicking at sensor name. A pop-up is presented, as shown in

image 15.

Notes:

For wireless sensors, it will be exactly the same plus information about the battery level and signal

strength;

On editing a sensor, the serial number appears but there is no way to change it;

On editing a sensor, it can be configured to “Calibration” Mode. Please refer to chapter 7 of this manual

for more information about this feature.

5. Events

An event is created when a device or sensor status is changed.

Table 5 and 6 show how device and sensor status are calculated, respectively.

Section A: Data filters. Data can be filtered by Device, Sensor and Severity (Normal, Warning, Critical

and Unknown);

Yellow start indicates that is an event that has not been

validated yet.

Green checkmark indicates that is a validated event.

S.

Severity:

Green if normal;

Yellow if warning;

Red if critical;

Grey if unknown.

Device Device name.

Module Sensor name.

Event Event description.

Date Date of when event occurred.

Value Value that unleashed the event.

Comment If green, means that event has a comment associated.

Action Button to show more details and add comments.

6. Alerts

6.1 Templates

Before create alerts, it is necessary to create templates. The template will be associated to an alert.

Template can be created by clicking on button “New”. Images 18, 19 and 20 show the steps.

Field Name Description

Name Template name.

Locals In which locals the template can be used. Can be selected

multiple locals.

Description Description.

Condition Type Condition type.*

Days of week In which days of week the template is valid. Can be selected

multiple days of week.

Hours Interval of hours when the template is valid.

Time threshold Time to reset the template. Can be configured in minutes,

hours or days.

Min. alerts before send How many consecutive times the sensor must match the

condition type defined before trigger the alert.

Max. alerts to send

How many consecutive alerts must be sent. After this value, it

will be applied the defined time threshold before send new

alerts.

Alert recovery Send an alert to inform that the sensor have returned to

normal status.

Critical When sensor is in critical status.

Max When sensor value is over the value inserted.

Min When sensor value is under the value inserted.

Min/Max When sensor value is under or over the values inserted.

6.2 Contacts

Like templates, is necessary create contacts before create alerts.

They can be created by clicking on button “New” and filling presented form, as shown in image 22.

Field Name Description

Name Contact name.

Locals In which locals the contact information can be used. Can be

selected multiple locals.

Email Email where the alert is going to be sent.

SMS Mobile number where the alert is going to be sent.

Notes:

The alerts contacts list is independent of SensLive users. This means that modifications to this list

(create, edit, delete) will not affect SensLive users;

Although, when a user is created at SensLive, it will be automatically created an entry in alerts

contacts list with the same information.

6.3 All Alerts

With the previous steps done, it is possible to create an alert.

Image 23 shows an example of a list of “All alerts”.

A new alert can be created by clicking on button “New” and filling presented form, as shown in image 24.

6.4 Alerts Sent

This page lists all the alerts sent by SensLive, as shown in image 25.

7. Calibration

This feature does not calibrate sensors or add offsets to the values that they read.

The purpose of his feature is just to allow user to compare readings of two sensors in a period of time.

7.1 Modules

When a sensor is targeted to “Calibration” mode (refer to chapter 4 – image 15), it will appear in this page

and will be hidden from “Devices” menu, as shown in image 26.

To remove sensor from “Calibration” mode, just click on sensor name and disable “Calibration” option.

Table 12 describes the attributes of a calibration test.

Field Name Description

Name Calibration test name.

Standard module The standard module is one sensor in “Calibration” mode.

Module The sensor we want to compare against standard module.

Must be a sensor not in “Calibration” mode.

From Start date time.

To Stop date time.

Chart Button to preview a line chart with comparison of standard

module and module.

Report Button to export Excel report with line chart, data listing and

statistics.

8.1 Custom charts

In this page user can generate line charts and export it to PDF. Image 30 shows available options.

If SensLive detects that a value has been manipulated, it will be indicated by a red warning symbol, as

shown in image 31.

Notes:

If SensLive does not detect any manipulated values, it will be added the tag [Certified Values] to

chart title when exported to PDF;

If SensLive detects manipulated values, it will be added the number of manipulated values to chart

subtitle when exported to PDF.

8.3 Custom reports

Besides the types of reports described at sections 8.1 and 8.2, SensLive is prepared to attend user’s needs,

by custom made reports.

For that, user must contact CapTemp Lda to request a report developing service.

These reports are associated to a company, so only the users of the company have access to the custom

made report.

8.4 Auto reports

“Auto reports” feature allows user to configure reports to automatically be sent by e-mail.

9.2 Roles

Roles are used to restrict features access to users.

By default, SensLive has one role: “Company Admin”. This role allows users to have full access to all

features.

Roles can be created by clicking on button “New”. A pop-up will appear showing all SensLive features.

Checked features will be available for users with that role while features unchecked will be disabled. Image

46 shows an example.

10. Settings

10.1 Locals

“Locals” feature allows to restrict access of users to devices, sensors, events and alerts of the same

company.

Every device registered in SensLive is associated to only one local but SensLive users can be associated to

multiple locals.

11. About

In this section is presented to user information about the versions of SensLive system. SensLive has two main

components:

SensLive Web Portal;

SensLive Certification Component.

All the critical operations of SensLive are processed by SensLive Certification Component.

To ensure that none of this components have been compromised, SensLive allow users to verify the checksums

of these components, as shown in image 48.

3. There are 3 status for portal communication:

Cannot reach portal

Not registered

Registered

3.1. “Cannot reach portal” means that the address configured cannot be reached or is invalid. Please check

if the address is well configured or if the push is enabled (image 52).

3.2. “Not Registered” means that Nidus can communicate with portal but is not registered yet. At this point,

becomes available a button to do the Nidus registration on SensLive, as shown in image 53.

By clicking on “Register” button, it will be open a webpage for Nidus registration. You have two options:

If you or your company have an account, please choose “I Have Account” and login with your credentials.

Else, you can sign up by clicking on “Create Account”. You will be redirect to a new account form, as shown

in image 55.

Name: Your profile name;

Email: Your e-mail. Will be used as username. Must be unique;

Company: Company name. Must be unique. If your company already has a SensLive account, please do

not create another account;

Local: The default local of company. You can create more locals after login on your account;

Country: Company’s country;

Timezone: Country’s time zone.

After sign up, you will be redirected to login page, where you can now login with your created account.
