Section 1: Adjustments

TIP to Metering Position - Alignment

To Adjust:

[1] Check that a TIP is on the IMMUNO-RATE ARM.

[2] Touch:

Detach 1

[3] Observe the TIP as it enters the Metering hole. Does the TIP enter the hole without touching the side?

Purpose: To align the MOUNTING PLATE of the IMMUNO-RATE WASH METERING

ASSEMBLY.

Specification: The TIP on the IMMUNO-RATE ARM must not touch the RESERVOIR COVER when

the TIP enters or leaves the RESERVOIR.

When to Do: After replacement of the IMMUNO-RATE WASH METERING ASSEMBLY, PUMPASSEMBLY, or PUMP CARRIAGE.

[4] Loosen the 3 SCREWS on the MOUNTING PLATE.

[5] Touch “START” and move the IMMUNO-RATE WASH METERING ASSEMBLY so the TIP does not touch

the side of the hole.

[6] Tighten the 3 SCREWS evenly.

[7] Touch “START” and check that the adjustment is correct.

[8] Do:

[9] Return the System to normal operation.

To Adjust:

[1] Check that a TIP is on the IMMUNO-RATE ARM.

[2] Touch:

[3] Observe the TIP as it enters the hole in the RESERVOIR COVER. Does the TIP enter the hole without touching

the side?

Detach 2

[4] Loosen the 3 SCREWS on the RESERVOIR NEST.

[5] Touch “START” and move the RESERVOIR NEST so the TIP does not touch the side of the hole.

[6] Evenly tighten the 3 SCREWS.

[7] Touch “START” and check that the adjustment is correct.

[8] Return the System to normal operation.

Purpose: To align the RESERVOIR of the IMMUNO-RATE WASH METERING

ASSEMBLY.

Specification: The TIP on the IMMUNO-RATE ARM must be in the center or

1.0 mm (< 0.040 in.) from the center of the hole in the RESERVOIR COVER.

When To Do: After replacement of the IMMUNO-RATE WASH METERING ASSEMBLY,

PUMP ASSEMBLY, or PUMP CARRIAGE.Special Tools: None.

Special Requirements: None.
