Connect power supply 220v 15 amp serviceConnect room thermostat.Unlock the pump motor shaft (turn center screw to bleed).Make sure flue vent is properly installed.Fill the primary loop (if no DHW storage tank has been installed) slowly until the pressure reaches 1-2 bar.(If a DHW storage tank has been installed, then fill the secondary loop first).Open the DHW circuit for it to fill up and vent. With the gas inlet cock closed, start up the Central Heating/DHW mode (p15 #2). The boiler will per form a lighting cycle and will then lock out under code 12.Leave it like that for five minutes so that the pump , which is still running, can help vent the circuit.Next chec k the pressure level (p14 #1) and top up if it has dropped below 1 .5 bar.Open the gas inlet cock, reset the system ( p14 #5) and the boiler will start operating.Allow the boiler to operate in the Heating mode for ten minutes , in which period it should be checked thatall radiators warm up. Should one radiator fail to warm up, bleed the air out of it. But if it still does not warm up,then the flow rates in all radiators should be balanced, alw ays optimizing the pump performance curve(flow rate/pressure) through its speed selector control (to left of pump - select one of three settings).Open the DHW tap with highest flow rate in the house. The boiler will operate for ten minutescontinuously at full output. If the flue spillage detection thermostat (p40) does not trip, thatmeans that the removal of flue gases is correct.
If a gas meter is available , check the gas supply pressure (p8 & p37 gas supply pressure test point).
The DHW flow can be adjusted if necessary. To do that, open the tap fully and turn the main water inlet flow adjustment screw (p22) until the leaving water temperature is 120ºF/49ºC (on screen, upper right), at full output.

Connect tester to the operating gas pressure test point and check the working pressure with the boiler operating at full output.Remove the tester, replace the plug and washer, restart the system, and using soapy water check the whole circuit for gas tightness. For a higher level of comfort, particularly where substantial pressure variations in the water supply occur, set the program close to the draw-off temperature.
Instruct the user on the following points:Recommend user to read the User’s Instructions.Instruct user on how to program the Central Heating and DHW temperature and the roomthermostat (if any).Instruct user on how to top up the Heating system (1.5 mbar).Demonstrate how the fault codes work for insufficient gas (12 and 17). This is the most common fault code due to user error. Demonstrate to user how to reset after opening the gas inlet cock.Recommend that user press reset button (p14 #5) whenever a red fault lamp lights up.If the red light appears two or three consecutive times, tell the user to write down the fault codes and notifythe nearest Service Center or Installer.Train user on the various safety devices, recommendations and maintenance operations specifiedin the waterheater instructions.

Maintenance
53
Carry out the following maintenance operations at least once a year, and preferably at the beginningof the Heating season:DHW•Clean the cold water filter•Check the DHW temperatureHeating•Check the system pressure•Check the waterheater water temperature•Check the pump operation•Bleed the air in the radiators and waterheater•Check the room thermostat•Check the safety valveGas•Check the burner setting pressure•Check the input rate•Check the circuit for gas tightness•Clean the burner VenturisCombustion and Ventilation•Check the flue duct tightness•Check the effectiveness of ventilations and air renewal system. Ensure there are no obstuctions•Conduct a flue gas analysis

Code 01 & 02: Interruption of the DHW (01) and Heating (02) circuit sensors
1. The sensors (DHW or Heating) are out of order Verify the Ohm-value of the sensors with an Amp-meter, and change the sensor if broken.
2. Verify the correct sensor – plug connection 3. Verify that the sensor-cable is correct (not broken or worn out)
Code 03 (40-50-90): Pressure of the heating circuit < 0.5 bar
This happens only in LAURA and SARA boilers, not in VICTORIA. • There is a lack of water in the circuit
1. There is a bad air purge after the first start up and the purged air has dropped the pressure. 2. Manometer failure Remove the broken manometer.
3. Expansion vessel without pressure Empty the heating circuit above the boiler, leave the circuit open and fill up the expansion vessel with an air pump (10.88 psi).
Code 06 (50-60-90): Overheating after flame • The water inside the heat-exchanger exceeds of 221º F The overheating sensor opens after the
flame has estinguished.
1. Due to a bad purge, the air inside the heat exchanger does not allows the water temperature to cool-down.
2. The pump is blocked and the water does not circulates through the heat exchanger. 3. The DHW- flow meter is broken and gives the order to heat up DHW without any real demand. Due to
this, the pump does not turns and the water inside the heat exchanger gets too hot.
Error Codes
55
Code 14 (50-60-70-90): Overheating during flame • The water inside the heat-exchanger exceeds of 221º F The overheating sensor opens while the
flame is burning.
The causes are the same as in the Code 06, with the difference that the overheating sensor has a bad contact and does not reads properly the temperature.
Code 09 (40-70-90): • Solenoid valve circuit open (gas valves) The circuit connector is loose Insert correctly the
connector. • Broken control panel Change the control panel.
Code 12 (60-70-90): Error in the flame detection at start-up • The control panel does not recieves flame detection during the safety ignition time before the burner
has lighted up (there was no flame before).
1. There is no sparkle between the electrodes in the burner • Check if there is a brocken electrode. • Check if the control panel is broken (you can hardly hear the sparkle inside the control panel)
Change the control panel. 2. No flame detection There is flame but electrodes continue giving sparkles until the safety flame-
up time is exceeded. • Check if the flame-sensor (ionisation-sensor) is broken and replace it. • Check the cable from control panel to the flame-sensor. • If the flame-sensor & cable are ok, replace the control panel. 3. Wrong Gas supply to the burner-becks. • Lack of gas supply Check the gas pressure at inlet regulator (20 mbar) with the boiler working If
no pressure at all, check the gas valve if closed or the main gas supply. • The solenoid valves are not opening Check that solenoid conector at the control panel reads 12 V
DC. If not, change the control panel.
56
Code 17 (40-80-90): Error in the flame detection during boiler function
The control panel does not recieves flame detection while the burner is burning (the boiler already flamed up and is working)
All causes are the same than in Code 12, except the problems related to the sparkle (because the boiler already lighted up successfully).
Code 19 (40-80-90): Problems at the Pressure-Switch (presostat)
The pressure switch a. The pressure switch is broken Change the pressure switch b. The pressure switch is not properly connected into the right pin-holes
57
Code 20: Problems related to the Exhaust System
If when removing the burner seal panel the boiler works properly, and when replacing it an error occurs, this means there is a problem in the exhaust pipe.
a. Too long exhaust pipe. b. Verify the connection between the 1 meter vent pipes is correct. It might be ok on the outer pipe, but the inner pipe could be loose. This would make the in and out air mix, causing the flame to extinguish due to the lack of oxygen (Code 17) or that the exhaust gases couldn’t escape due th the high loss of the charge produced by this open connector (Code 20).
If the error code 20 comes up continuously, verify that the presostat plastic pipes aren’t connected wrong (in the correct position they should be crossed, where the pipe from the presostat is connected to the Venturi). Blocking of the pipes can also occur, which can be cleared by gently sucking on the pipes.
