1. PREPARING FOR USE 1.1 Remove the appliance from the packaging, checking that the product is whole and thatall the parts are there. 1.2 Unscrew the safety cap (1) and fill the boi-ler with 1.6 l of water (if completely empty),making sure it does not overflow, using thespecial funnel (2). Carefully screw the safetycap back on, checking that it is completelyclosed.1.3 Open the door of the one-piece socket andinsert the moulded plug until a click is heard(3). Make sure that it is firmly connected befo-re proceeding any further. To release thesheath, simply press the release keys and atthe same time remove the moulded plug. The steam gun has a safety switch that pre-vents the accidental starting of the steam de-livery by children or people unfamiliar withhow the appliance works . To prevent acci-dental steam delivery push the button to theOFF position (4). To continue steam deli-very, push the button to the ON position (4).1.4 Unwind the power cable completely and

connect it to an appropriate socket (5) that isearthed. Use the appliance with the power ca-ble completely unwound.1.5 Press the ON/OFF switch (6). The powerindicator light will come on (red).1.6 Wait for the “steam ready” indicator light(green) to come on (approx. 8 minu-tes).Vaporetto is now ready for use.

2. CONNECTION OF ACCESSORIES2.1 To attach the extension hose to the flexiblehose and the floor brush, simply insert until youhear the button click indicating that the acces-sory is locked in place (8). To release the ac-cessories simply hold the button down andseparate the components (8). Before usingthe accessories, make sure that they are firmlyin place.2.2 To connect the small brush, the steamconcentrator, the brushes to the flexible hoseor the extension hoses insert the accessoriesand then turn them until they are locked inplace (9)(10).

3. STEAM ADJUSTMENTYou can optimise the steam flow by means ofthe steam adjustment knob (7). You can in-crease the steam flow by turning the controlin an anti-clockwise direction. Turning it in aclockwise direction reduces the steam flow. Here are some suggestions for the choice ofsteam flow level:• Strong steam: for encrusted dirt, stains, sa-

nitising, grease.• Normal steam: for carpets, rugs, glass, tiles

etc.• Delicate steam: for vaporising plants and

cleaning delicate fabrics, upholstery, wallpa-per, parquet, laminate, etc.

The “steam ready” (green) indicator lightcomes on and goes off during use. Thismeans that the electrical resistance isworking to maintain constant pressure: it is anormal phenomenon and you can continuewith the cleaning operations.

WARNING: When first operating steam, the-re may be some drops of water mixed withthe steam due to temperature imbalances.Direct the first steam jet onto a rag for a fewseconds.

WARNING: if steam is escaping from the sa-fety cap, switch the appliance off and unplugit from the mains. Wait for one two for the ap-pliance to cool before unscrewing the capand screwing it back on.

WARNING: In case of excessive humidity, reduce the quantity of steam.
